What is Lewis Deep Democracy?

Lewis Deep Democracy provides a radically transformative toolkit for individuals and groups looking to increase their capacity to succeed in turbulent times. This unique method enables all voices to be heard. Inevitably there will be differences of opinion amongst people. Lewis Deep Democracy has unique tools which enable these differences to be resolved and to gain the wisdom that lies within the collective views. This leads to innovative and creative solutions and enhanced relationships between couples, community groups, social activist communities, educational environments, teams and individuals in small and large businesses.

What is Biodanza?

The word “Biodanza” means to dance with life. Developed by a medical doctor, it reduces stress and enhances vitality and the experience of being alive through combining music, movement and the expression of emotion. Music is a universal language and dancing is the ideal form of integrating body and soul. Dances and exercises with specific objectives stimulate vitality, creativity, affectivity, sensitivity and communication among people. The proposition of Biodanza is not only to dance, but also to activate and connecting us with ourselves, with our fellow human beings and with nature. By doing Biodanza regularly, people experience a significant improvement in their sense of wellbeing. They handle stress better by increasing the ability to communicate and improving the quality of their relationships. Biodanza becomes a new way of living – putting life first by connecting from the heart. This deepens our connection with what is truly important to us in life. In this way, Biodanza becomes a system of personal and human development.

TESTIMONIALS

LINKS OF INTEREST

“Deep Democracy has some great tools to support Biodanza. We used a deep democracy tool for the opening circle at our last free intro class and people shared so openly from the outset it

was amazing. It helped them to feel at home very quickly and easily and helped us to know right away where the group was at before we started the vivencia. It was more of an ice-melter

than an ice-breaker!”

- Claudio Gomes, Biodanza facilitator under supervision

“Both teach us about allowing another view and watching the feedback for this view as well as what it does to us on a personal and group level. Both can rescue society from its lack of caring

for those regarded as 'others'. Both break down the view of a person as 'other', perhaps this is where the two complement one another and transform participants though self-discovery and

development. Both provide alternative narratives to the dominant view and allow for marginalised feelings and thoughts to emerge.”

- Karen Kleinot, Counselling Psychologist & Deep Democracy IKM Analyst

“Deep Democracy helped me to deepen the experience of my intentions through giving them

form and amplifying their movement. It also helped with integration of the deep awareness that came through the dance.”

- Vasintha Pather, Organizational Development specialist and Drama Therapist
