Day 7: Saturday 26 January 2019Salay > BaganeOn your walking tour of Salay admire a beautiful teak monastery and look inside the largest lacquer Buddha in Myanmar. Enrich Soak up the ambience of the river and the colonial feel of the town whilst enjoying traditional Burmese tea and snacks in a restored colonial villa dating from 1906.Relax on the sundeck with a cocktail in hand as you approach Bagan. Day 9: Monday 28 January 2019Bagan > PakkokueEnrich Rise early to attend morning alms for the local monks. Back on board try mohinga, a traditional breakfast of the local people. Travel by horse and cart through a local village then through the surrounding plain and it’s temple ruins before learning all about the production of Burmese lacquerware. Depart Bagan and stop off at the Pakkoku to visit a cheroot cigar workshop and longyi and blanket factory before continuing to Yandabo. Meals: B.L.D

Day 10: Tuesday 29 January 2019Yandabo In 1826 the peace treaty ending the First Anglo-Burmese war was signed in Yandabo. Now famous for its pottery, stroll through the village and witness the artisans honing their craft. Meals: B.L.D

Equally impressive is Kuthodaw Pagoda, home to the ‘World’s Largest Book’. Later walk through the rebuilt Mandalay Palace, destroyed during World War II.Enrich Learn how to produce gold leaf at a local workshop. At Mahamuni Pagoda, male guests will be able to place the gold leaf on the iconic Buddha statue. Enjoy sunset views from Mandalay Hill before staying at Mandalay Hill Resort.Meals: B.L.D

All bookings are subject to Scenic full terms and conditions. The contract: 1.1 the contract between Scenic Tours PTY Limited (“Scenic”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and you includes: these terms and conditions; and your itinerary. 1.2 It is important that you carefully read the contract as you will be bound by it once you have signed these terms and conditions or otherwise paid the earlier of your booking deposit or the tour price. Tour Price All tour prices are quoted in twin share, AUD. How do you pay? Booking deposit A non-refundable deposit of $1,400 per person is required within 7 days of booking. A 2nd deposit of $1,000 per person is due 11 months prior to departure. Irrawaddy River Cruise: This tour price is based on Category C Deluxe Suite on the Scenic Aura. Cabin upgrades are subject to availability. Port charges and taxes are approximately $550 per person and included in tour price. *Earlybird offers; Flights included, including taxes Is based on Singapore Airlines economy class fare ex. ADL and subject to availability of a specific class of travel at time of booking. Offer is limited and must book and deposit by 31 March 2018 or until sold out. If that airline and/or class is not available Scenic reserves the right to use an alternative airline of their choice and a surcharge will apply. Flights must be booked by Scenic. Variable air taxes of up to $165 per person are payable and included in the tour price. Any increases will be payable. Airfares will be ticketed on receipt of deposit. Offer cannot be combined with any other offer and may be withdrawn at any time and is not combinable with reduced single supplements on Earlybird offers. Once ticketed, changes will incur amendment fees. Book before 31 March 2018 and receive a complimentary Suite Upgrade. Subject to availability of suites at time of booking and based on categories A to RD only. Please enquire for details. Final payment You must pay the balance of the tour price to us no later than 90 days before the tour departure date. If your booking is made 90 days or less before the tour departure date, you must immediately pay the tour price in full when you book. Fees: Amendment fee: A $50 administration fee is payable for each variation to your booking. Cancellation fee Any cancellation of the tour by you prior to your tour departure date (including any changes to your tour departure date) will result in the following cancellation fees: Days of notice prior to tour commencement cancellation charge (pp) 90 days and over is loss of deposit, 90-66 days is 50% of tour price, 65 days or less is 100% of tour price. Travel insurance: You are urged to arrange comprehensive travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may occur during the tour. It is recommended to take out travel insurance when you pay your non-refundable deposit. Travel documents: Passengers must have a valid passport (with 6mths validity from return date) and a valid return air ticket. An entry visa will be required, please obtain prior to departure.
