1. Prepare for ART UNDER the ART UNDER the STARSSTARS: Mount one of your linoleum prints on the 9” square sheet of construction paper provided.

2. For your final: Choose an animal photograph to render with ink techniques

1. On the 9” square, measure 1 ½” inch from each edge

2. Pencil a light line for the interior plane

3. Measure ½” from the corners, in both directions, then mark

4. Use the exacto knife to cut the dotted line

5. Finally, slip your original illuminated letter or your best linoleum print into the corner slice.

6. Write your name and period # on the back and turn-in to your teacher

1. On a clean sketch book page, draw a picture plane that fills ¾ of the surface

2. In pencil, use line to render the animal photo that you have chosen from the images provided.

3. Execute the photo, to scale in the picture plane. Include the back ground.

4. When you have completed the linear composition, use pen to develop a consistent light source with a full range of values.

5. The completed composition is due Friday, 5/16

Consider:Build up lines in a variety of techniques to allude to the texture of the animal and the back ground or negative space.
