Writing - Revising Strategy: Deleting Phrases
We need to make sure we wrote just what readers need to imagine the short story clearly.
We can add or take out details in sentences. Sometimes we need to take out phrases.
Revising Tips:1. Make sure your poem tells a story in lines that are easy to read. Lines can end with words that rhyme.
2. Take out phrases that are not important ideas or repeat something you already wrote.
Quick Write for Fluency
Talk: Identify a phrase that should be taken out and tell why.....
