Handwriting

Today you are going to create your own mythical creature for a myth. Be as creative as you like. What combinations of creatures could you have? Draw your character first and then add adjectives/phrases around the outside. Use the word mats that you have used before for ideas.

Today you are going to use the adjectives that you have thought of to write a short description of your mythical creature. You should be aiming to write eight sentences. Remember to be as detailed as possible!

As you write, consider the following questions. Use them as a guide for what to include in your writing.

• Have you described all body parts clearly? • Does it make any noises? E.g. growl,

screech• How does it move?• Does it have any special powers or

weapons?

Think of a place where your creature might live.
