AUCTION INFORMATION & RULES

The Davisville Fun Fair silent auction will raise money to enhance the learning experiences of, and increase educational opportunities for, the children at Davisville Junior Public School and the Metro Toronto School for the Deaf.

The 2010 fundraiser was very successful but your support is needed to make the 2011 fundraiser even more successful!

DAY OF: Silent Auction bidding will begin at 11:00 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m. To bid, clearly write your name and contact number or email on the bid sheet of the desired item. To be valid, each successive bid must be larger than the preceding bid by at least the minimum incre-ment amount. At the close of bidding, the highest correct bid entered on the bid sheet will be considered the winner. PROXY BIDDING: You do not need to be present to bid. You can make arrangements for someone else to bid on your behalf. If you are the winning bidder, please make arrange-ments with the person bidding on your behalf to pay for your item(s) either by cheque or cash.

PRE-BIDS: Pre-bids will be accepted via email up to June 3, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. Pre-bids will be transferred to the corresponding bid sheets for the day of the silent auction. You do not need to attend the auction to make a pre-bid but you will need to make arrangements to pay for your item by June 4, 2011. People who attend the auction will have the opportunity to outbid any pre-bid. If no higher bid is placed, the pre-bid will win that item.

PAYMENT PROCEDURES: If you are a winning bidder, you must pay for your item on the day of the auction and take your winning item(s) with you that day. Payments may be made by cash or cheque (we will not hold cheques). Cheques are to be made out to Davisville Junior Public School/MTSD. All merchandise not paid for by 3:15 p.m. on June 4, 2011 will become the property of Davisville School Council and may be re-sold.

Merchandise is sold “as is” and Davisville School Council neither warrants nor represents, and in no event shall be responsible for, the correctness of the description, authorship, or condi-tion of the property. Stated values of auction goods and services are appraisals provided by the donor only and are not warranted for tax purposes or general value. Davisville School Council reserves the right to make any necessary corrections in item description, restrictions, and mini-mum bid amounts at the auction.
