Until recently a portable screen and projector have had to be set up anytime a computer presentation was given.

A screen has been mounted to eliminate the need for screen set-up

A mount and wiring have been installed for a projector and the projector is on order

Several teachers and administrators have expressed their excitement over this coming addition

POLICY ISSUESPOLICY ISSUES

There are two viewpoints about fines. Some students dislike the late fees and refuse to pay for lost books, while others say it is a necessary evil.A remedy for the lost book cost is to give students the options of paying the replacement cost of the book or working off the debt by assigning the student some task to be completed after school hours.

** A student’s ability to pay is taken into account**

Page 25: Davis r facilitiesplan2

POLICY ISSUESPOLICY ISSUESMany students dislike the internet restrictions and the fact that students are monitored so closely. They are not able to use the computers much for pleasure even when it is legal and they are not viewing improper sites.

A remedy for the internet restrictions is to allow students to use the computers for pleasure provided they are in the media center during downtime or extended hours and not for a class assignment with the understanding that they will be monitored.
