Monday: Can you retrace around the patterns? Handwriting patterns

2D Shapes Can you colour the shapes to complete the picture using the key colours provided?

Tuesday:

Minibeast adventure with Jess; ant. Read it, write it, draw and label it.

2D Shape Picture. Draw your own picture using shapes only. You can draw whatever you like as long as you have only used shapes. You could draw your family, your house, favourite animal.

Wednesday: CVC Words Look at the picture cards, can you write what the card represents underneath,

Ladybird halving. Children to start by counting how many spots are above the ladybird. Children then to work out the what is half of the amount by drawing the spots equally on both sides of the ladybirds back.

Thursday: Minibeast work search (sound recognition) Repeating patterns. Can you continue the repeated shapes pattern and come up with 3 patterns yourself?

Friday: Alphablocks. Watch Alphablocks – The cat sat on the mat on YouTube. Try and write out the CVC words that you see on the clip.

Number hunt. Have a look around your house/garden/outdoors for some numbers, can you write down the numbers you find.

Topic: Minibeast classification: identify a minibeast by answering yes and no questions.

Story: Mad about minibeasts by Giles Andreae and David Wojtowycz Listen to the story and familiarise yourself with minibeasts. What minibeasts can you name? Where might you find them? Can you describe what they look like? How many legs do they have? How do they grow or change? How do they move? What do they eat?
