A conjurer is not a juggler; he is an actor playing the part of a magician.

—Jean Robert-Houdin

Marco Tempest is a Techno illusionist, evolving magic with today’s more advanced society.

Marco started off with a demonstration, or an experiment

more or less, As he explained what augmented reality was. His clarified that what he about to do was not

pre-recorded, which is what caught my attention.

His presentation was a big factor in keeping people’s attention, but not the one.

The information along with the delivery are the other important elements. He explained a little bit about the history and magic why people are intrigued after several decades. His movements and tone of voice were very upbeat and enchanting matching the feeling of his lecture.

Dynamism- 4/5

I would give him a 4 out of 5 because he was well prepared and was very interesting but I think at times I would get too distracted with what was going on on the screen and only catch bits and pieces of what he said.

His presentation engages the

audience while explaining certain

aspects of why magic entices

people leaving the audience to

feel like they know more about

magic without knowing all of the

tricks

He explains the

path of a joke

and bridges that

to a magic trick.

His delivery was very successful. He has a sense of wonderabout his presentations and he is able to keep his audience wanting more.He is very passionate about what he does and you can hear it in his voice. When he is speaking, I noticed that it’s not a serious tone at all, but more of a upbeat tone, often almost like he’s constantly asking a question to entice curiosity.

Sir Ken Robinson’s speeches were both very educating but very different thenMarco’s. Sir Robinson’s speeches had more of a sense of urgency. His I felt likewere more serious.

Marco’s, although had some educational value, was more for entertainment.

Even when comparing their digital presentations, Marco’s is a bit more playful

They both relate to each other by catching the audiences attention. Their voices are able to project the messages they are conveying by the tones they chose in which relate to their subjects

“One of the key qualities of all stories is that they are made to be shared.”-Marco Tempest

In conclusion, I have learned from my selected speaker that the tone of voice, and movement relating to your presentation makes a big difference. The audience will pick up on it very quick and If it is executed correctly, it will be easier to keep their attention.
