MEET THE PERFORMERS

David Wion is a graduate of Wittenberg University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance and a Master’s Degree in Composition. He is a commercial lender at MainSource Bank by day and a musician by night! He has been involved with numerous musical and theatrical productions over the years. He currently serves as director of the West Milton Young Spirits. He is a published composer of both choral and keyboard works. David has been a performer for The Dayton Art Institute’s Twilight Concerts for many years.

Carol Palmer has more than 30 years of stage experience, ranging from musical theatre to classical music performances. She is a regular performer for The Dayton Art Institute Twilight Concerts. Her performance credits have provided her experience to direct, choreograph, and produce a number of musicals and other musical performances in the Dayton area, including community and church theatre organizations, and a number of area high schools. An accomplished piano accompanist, Carol has served several schools and organizations, including Dayton area private and civic functions, soloists/instrumentalists, and musical organizations such as the Sidney Gateway Choral Society. Carol has been the music director at Grace United Methodist Church in Piqua for the past 17 years. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Miami University in 1985. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, David, who is also a Miami University graduate, for 28 years. Jim Overholt has been playing drums since elementary school, when he realized that drums were cooler than the violin. He owes a big thanks to his older brother, who was the drummer of the family and joined the navy, leaving the drums and his rock and roll music behind. Jim has played with various groups, from traveling for two years with a youth ministry team, “Common Bread,” to playing with a Sidney area wedding band called “Phase II.” He has also had the pleasure to play in the pit orchestra for musicals including “Guys and Dolls” and “Joseph ….” Jim currently is a member of his church’s worship team and wants to give God the glory for his ability.
