Personalizedlearningseekstoacceleratestudentlearningbytailoringtheinstructionalenvironment– what,when,howandwherestudents learn– toaddressthe individualneeds,skillsandinterestsofeachstudent.

Withinaframeworkofestablishedcurriculumstandardsandhighexpectations,personalizedlearningmotivatesstudentstoreachtheirgoals.Students takeownershipoftheirownlearninganddevelopdeep,personalconnectionswitheachother,theirteachersandotheradults.

Technologyisnecessaryto implementpersonalizedlearningeffectively,affordably,andatsignificantscale.Teachersleveragetechnologytogaindetailedandtimelyknowledgeoftheirstudentsthatguidesinstruction.Effectiveuseoftechnologyallowsteachersandstudents tofocusmoreoncreativity,criticalthinking,andcollaboration.
