A selection of favorite works of art.I attempt to express my emotional reactions on canvas and paper to any scene I am trying to convey. Every painting I feel should take you on a journey and give you a sense of place. I use expressive brush strokes and a bold palette of colors. If a piece of artwork does not evoke a deep sense of passion and mood then I feel it is not a success. When I complete a painting, and it leaves my studio, I feel it no longer belongs to me. Out in the real world, the person who I painted this for, someone I have never met, will discover the painting and will become theirs. When I am fortunate enough to meet a customer who owns one of my pieces I am happiest when they tell me how much their painting means to them. It is then that I feel my work has found its proper home.
