2 Timothy 3:16

We have braved the bitterly cold winter and have begun to experience the snug warmth of the sun shining upon us. Spring is one of the seasons where God boasts on His marvellous artworks. There is beauty and life pointing to a Creator of all creations.

Winter hibernation is something of the past, as this new season ushers in dazzling blossoming flowers coupled with an energetic buzz in the air. The sun is shining, the air is crisp, and newness can be seen in nature, what a great time for us to place expectancy upon the Lord. However, before we can even expect anything new from God, we first need to do some spring cleaning. We need to clean up and make room for God.

Isaiah 43:19 “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

The “clutter of life” often weighs us down, puts us in a perpetual stress frenzy which eventually distracts and drains us.

Emotional, spiritual and physical clutter creates havoc in our lives and we need to confront it so that we can change it.

When we embark on a spring cleaning exercise and take stock of our lives, we realise that we actually free up more time to engage in areas that we are passionate about and this often brings us joy.

Spend time in devotion and worship, simplify your life, give away things, evaluate your routines and make the necessary adjustments, protect your sensory portals, let go of toxic relationships, forgive quickly, start one task at a time until you complete it, practice the pause, don’t procrastinate, and prioritize the things that matter to God for your life.

This is our spring challenge, declutter our lives, let go to live free, and let us make room for God!

Philippians 3:12 “But one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

Much love,

Pastor Ray and Mrs Zelda McCauley

Christian parents who dedicate their children are making a promise to the Lord to do

everything within their power to raise them prayerfully in a godly way, until they can

make a decision on their own to follow Jesus. Some of the responsibilities include

teaching and training their children in God’s Word, demonstrating an example of

godliness, disciplining according to God’s ways and praying earnestly for them.
