ELIZABETH HUMPHRIES

Elizabeth’s work is often constructed then torn and reformed in her studio in Norfolk, where she has worked on large scale paintings for public spaces, and small work for private exhibitions, for more than 40 years.

‘I think of myself primarily as a maker of ideas’.

DAVID DAVIES

David was born in Brighton he studied and worked in Mechanical Engineering. He and Brian had a business in making ‘one of a kind’ pieces of furniture. David uses pen, ink, charcoal and soot, in a variety of specific areas of work, both figurative and abstract. He also sometimes works with oils and prints.

‘Most of my work is ‘drawing’ based, covering, abstraction, figuration, and all areas in between.’

BRIAN G JAMES

Brian was born in Wales he studied at St Martins and The Royal College of Art

Brian’s formative years were steeped in tales from Celtic legends and mythology, a product of his Welsh ancestry.

A fascination grew from their images and symbols, giving form to perceived truths.

‘Cultural responses to man’s relationship with nature is territory i’ve explored over several years. Full of desire and fear, intimacy and distance, dark flesh and dead fruit.’
