Placed in a Mandarin Chinese speech competition held on November 12, 1984 in honour of Sun Yat-sen in the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. Award included a cash prize. Portions of my speech were published in the Central Daily News (Chung-yang Jih-pao) and played on national television in Taiwan.
