ASC NEWS From the start of 2018 there will be a slight increase in fees for both Before and After School Care. We haven’t had a rise since 2016 and of course this is done reluctantly! There will no longer be a short fee for 3:30pm pickup. All children will be charged the full session fee regardless of the time they leave and we propose to initiate a casual fee which will be slightly higher than a permanent booking. The new fee for BSC will be $13 and ASC $19.50 for a permanent booking. The new casual booking fee will be $21 per session. Please see me or the P&C committee if you have any concerns. Kathy Cockroft Coordinator 2018 BOOKLISTS

All Year 2 to Years 5 students have been given their 2018 Booklists.

Parents are of course, welcome to purchase their booklist items from wherever they choose. However, for those who wish for a convenient option, we have given the booklists to the Yandina Newsagency and they will have all items in stock for you. For those who are purchasing their booklists from the Yandina Newsagency, orders need to be placed directly with them before December 8, 2017 to guarantee your order is ready for 2018.

CONGRATULATIONS MAKENZEE! Makenzee successfully auditioned with the Brisbane City Youth Ballet for their December production of the ‘Nutcraker’. As a company member she will be training for two weeks and then will participate in shows at Qpac, Southbank on 15-17th December. She will be a gingerbread and snow baby in two scenes. Well done Makenzee!! IAN COWAN’S TENNIS LESSONS

What a great year it has been for all the students who have participated in Ian Cowan’s tennis lesson this year. From all accounts from the students they have enjoyed every lesson and have looked forward to the fun and games that Ian provides to further develop their tennis skills each Tuesday and Thursday. If you are interested in your child having tennis lessons next year, contact Ian directly on 0405 839 079 or [email protected] .

RURAL FIRE BRIGADE NEED VOLUNTEERS

We are all keenly aware of the awesome job that our rural fire fighters have done in the past twelve months especially, when homes/businesses were threatened on more than one occasion. The local North Arm branch of the Rural Fire Brigade urgently needs volunteers to assist helping to keep our dis-

trict safe from harm. Training is available and meetings are held on the first Saturday afternoon of each month. They also hold fundraising at the Yandina Markets and you may be called upon to help on the stall occasionally.

PLEASE HELP! Contact Wayne Oliver on 0448 770 677 for more information.
