After conducting interviews, reviewing proposed flooring products, and considering maintenance, warranty and price proposals, District 6 has selected Mannington to be the flooring product supplier for the bond projects. 3/18/20 – D6/RLH Coordination Meeting – This meeting was cancelled, due to cabinet meetings related to COVID-19 Closure. In lieu of the meeting, RLH provided a project and process summary, and assess potential impacts of the COVID-19 Closure.

2. Greeley West High School Replacement

Design and Preconstruction Services On 3/2/20, HCM met throughout the day with GWHS staff, with focus on specific areas of GWHS. On 3/5/20, AP/HCM (along with food service consultant, Kitchen Tech) conducted a meeting with D6 Nutrition Services and GWHS Kitchen staff, to discuss needs and wants for the new Kitchen at GWHS. AP/HCM presented the concept building plan, including the layout for the commons space and adjacent food prep and serving areas. Discussion included needs for equipment and space, as well as process for serving, dining and dishwashing/waste management. On 3/5/20, D6 and AP/HCM met with City of Greeley Community Development personnel to review updated site concept plans. Discussion included anticipated impacts to traffic flow, stormwater and utilities, as well as process for further development review. A Pre-application meeting with various engineering departments is being scheduled later in the was conducted on 3/23, which included specific aspects of Transportation, Stormwater, Water and Sanitary Sewer. This meeting addressed several questions by the design team and City departments, in anticipation of the 4/1 Development Application submittal.

Bi-weekly OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings occurred on 3/9//20 and 3/23/20. These meetings allow interaction between D6 Executive Cabinet/Facilities Management and GWHS leadership with the HCM/AP team. The 3/9/20 meeting was focused on feedback from Design Advisory Group (DAG) and User Group meetings and final layout design. The 3/23/20 meeting, conducted via video conference, focused on further design progress and impacts of COVID19 closure. Bi-weekly OAC meetings will continue during April. A DAG meeting was conducted on 3/11/20. The DAG meeting focused on further development of the preferred option C layout, feedback from the User Group meetings, and discussion of

what the building exterior will look like. The 3/25/20 DAG meeting was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Closure and has been rescheduled for 4/8.

AP is in the process of prequalifying, interviewing and selecting several subcontractors/trade partners. Requests for Proposals were issued in early March for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, steel, precast concrete, landscape, irrigation and earthwork. Interviews were conducted with these various subcontractors the weeks of 3/16 and 3/23, with several D6 staff in attendance (in person or video conference). Selection of these subcontractors will be reviewed with D6 in early April, as these subcontractors will assist in development of project estimates.

GWHS Geotechnical Investigation – Ground Engineering will be conducting supplemental borings at the GWHS site the week of 4/6. These were originally scheduled the week of 3/23. However, a snowstorm impeded utility locate markings this week. The rescheduled drilling was further delayed by illness cancellation by the Driller. Ground Engineering was able to schedule a different driller. A final geotechnical report will be available by the end of April.

Traffic Impact Study – Traffic counts were completed in late Feb/early March. Fox Tuttle

engaged in several meeting with the Design team and the City or Greeley during the month of March. A draft Traffic impact Study was delivered by Fox Tuttle on 3/30. A summary of the potential changes needed for the GWHS project include:

• Reconfiguration of eastbound and westbound approaches on W. 22nd Street at 35th

Ave. to include separate left-turn lanes and shared through+right-turn lanes. This will involve restriping, signing, and minor signal improvements.

• Adding a westbound right-turn deceleration lane for a “free-right” turn into the school access along W 24th Avenue at 35th Avenue Court and reconfiguring the northbound and southbound approaches to include separate left-turns.

Additional consideration for the following improvements should also given (in coordination with City staff) given various tradeoffs:

• Southbound right-turn deceleration lane on 35th Avenue at W. 22nd Avenue • Eastbound right-turn deceleration lane on W. 22nd Street at 35th Avenue • Southbound right-turn deceleration lane on 35th Avenue at W. 22nd Street • Signalization of the W. 24th Street & 35th Avenue Court/School Access intersection

3. McAuliffe / Chappelow K-8s

Design Services – Cuningham kicked off the design process in late February with a Cabinet-level Programming meeting, with a follow up meeting for Programming on 3/9. The DAG meeting process started on 3/3. DAG meeting #2 was postponed until 3/31, due to the COVID-19 closure. DAG #2 was successfully completed remotely, via video conference. Weekly OAC meetings continued throughout the month, with meetings on 3/5, 3/12, 3/19 and 3/26.

On 3/5, a kickoff meeting was conducted with the City of Greeley, to provide a high-level overview of the project. A Pre-application meeting was conducted with the City of Greeley on 3/31 which included specific aspects of Transportation, Stormwater, Water and Sanitary Sewer. This meeting addressed several questions by the design team and City departments.

Preconstruction Services –Sampson has begun to engage with the design team to provide a budget basis of design. This will help determine the renovation areas, addition square footage and hard surface costs.

Geotechnical Investigation – No further geotechnical activities occurred in March, after Ground provided their initial geotechnical report in February. Additional testing will be scheduled, once a site plan and bldg. footprint are agreed upon.

Traffic Impact Study – Fox Tuttle was selected to provide a TIS for McAuliffe K-8. Traffic counts were scheduled to begin on 3/23, after spring break. However, this has been delayed, due to the COVID-19 closure. In lieu of physical counts, Fox Tuttle has been utilizing other data (including existing City data and drone footage provided by the CM/GC) to make preliminary determinations. The formal traffic study will resume when regular school occupancy resumes.

4. New K-8 – Activities on the New K-8 have commenced, awaiting confirmation of land acquisition. AE solicitation issued on 3/5. Responses were received on 3/20. After review of the RFQ submittals by a selection committee, DLR Group, MOA and TreanorHL were selected for interviews. Interviews will be conducted 4/24. Due to the current guidelines for limiting groups/meetings and other social distance recommendations, interviews will be conducted via video conference. An AE selection is anticipated by the end of April.

5. Madison ES Replacement – Activities for the Madison ES Replacement project have not yet started, awaiting internal D6 programming discussions on retaining a K-5 at the facility vs. implementing a K-8 model.

6. Northridge HS –Geotech investigation for slab settlement issues will be conducted during the summer months, with AE and CMGC solicitations next fall, and with construction in 2021.

7. Greeley Central HS – Asbestos abatement bids for boiler removal were received on 3/6. The apparent low bidder is Premier Environmental. Boiler replacement bids were received later in March, American Mechanical is the apparent low bidder. Construction Agreements are in process for both companies. Pre-abatement demolition is scheduled commence in late April, after heating season/boiler shutdown. Abatement will immediately follow in early May, followed by boiler replacement, to be completed over summer break.

8. Safety, Security and Capital Improvement Projects (SSCI) – Phase I for 2020 will include improvements at Jackson ES and Martinez ES. Activities currently underway include:

Kickoff meeting on 3/4 with GSG Architecture to define the AE scope and proposal Kickoff meeting on 3/10 with the school principals, GSG and McCauley Constructors, to

introduce the project team and discuss the project scope and schedule. Weekly OAC meetings were conducted on 3/17, 3/24 and 3/31 and will continue for the duration

of the project Various field investigations occurred during March by various parties.

Throughout April, GSG will be completing an early Construction Document set that will define entry vestibules, finish plans (flooring and paint), replacement of countertops/sinks (Jackson only), door and door hardware schedule. McCauley will be engaging several subcontractors and retrieving pricing for these project components. Final CDs and pricing will be provided in May. Asbestos abatement bids for both Jackson ES and Martinez ES were received on 3/6. The apparent low bidder is Premier Environmental. Several moving companies were prequalified with District 6 in

March. These moving companies will be bidding the moving effort in April, and a packing/move out plan is being developed for May.

9. Master Budget Summary –Total funds available remains at $457,601,586, including bond premium.. New contract/encumbrance amounts have been entered for GWHS AP Amendment 1 – Design Services (Acct 1A), Jxn/Mtz Pre-construction (Acct 1E), Jxn/Mtz AE services (Acct 2) GWHS and McA Traffic Studies (Acct 8) and Jxn/Mtz/GCHS Abatement (Acct 11). Invoices for owner’s rep and GWHS survey were submitted for payment, these were entered as expenditures in Accts 3 and 6. Program funds expended to date total $130,022.
