ArchestrA System Platform 2012 R2 can:

• Support pairing of two Historian Servers in a redundant configuration, such that process values are simultaneously registered in each Historian without requiring separate configuration for each.

• Allow users to configure cost-effective domain isolation of the ‘control network’ from the ‘corporate network’ and maintaining data integrity and storage.

• Allow production to be completely isolated while fully integrated with the business systems, a welcomed option for both production and IT managers alike.

Historian Server Pairing for secure, highly available data and domain isolation

INCREASED HISTORIAN DATA CAPACITYAs supervisory control systems grow larger and become more sophisticated, the need to capture or historize process data grows as well. Now, the maximum tag size of the Wonderware Historian is 300 percent larger, handling up to 500,000 tags.

This benefits you in the following ways:

• Now, even the largest systems can take full advantage of the Wonderware Historian, particularly installations in the Oil & Gas, Power, Water & Wastewater, and Natural Gas industries

• Historian can now gather data on a broader range of tags within your facility, helping you more easily understand process issues and opportunities for improvement

HISTORIAN TIME STAMP FOR BETTER HANDLING OF INTERMITTENT OR LATE DATAIn industries such as Upstream Oil &Gas, Natural Gas distribution, Water & Wastewater and Electric Power distribution, data coming from the field can be intermittent, out of sequence or substantially older than the current data. When off-line remote sites suddenly connect, the burst of cached data must be handled efficiently and accurately.

System Platform 2012 R2 and Historian 2012 R2, with significantly higher storage and retrieval throughput, enable historization of intermittent and ‘late’ data with total integrity and without any greater system load than a comparable amount of real-time data.

IMPROVED SECURITYThe latest version of ArchestrA System Platform provides data communication channel encryption for enhanced system security. The data communication channels from System Platform to Historian Server or between one System Platform and another (Galaxy to Galaxy with Multi-Galaxy capability) can be fully encrypted, thus helping to improve the security of data across the entire system. Configuration of this encryption is as simple as checking a box and is extremely cost effective.

DATA CONTEXTUALIZATIONArchestrA System Platform 2012 R2 features a new Information Server ‘OverView’ module, which provides a browser-based integrated view of process history, alarm, and production data. It provides users with a holistic understanding of their operations.

• Information from multiple sources can now be shown ‘in context’ and in high fidelity for flexible trouble shooting, drill-down diagnostics, and ad-hoc analysis

• OverView provides a rich user experience, much like a desktop application, that can be easily accessed from the web via Information Server, reducing risk and maintenance requirements.

• Operators, to production managers to the CEO can have access to real-time and historical data with the context needed to solve problems faster
