Datacard Group is an experienced leader in supplying the market with integrated ID solutions, developing software, capture, and printer products that are designed to work together. The 1-2-3 Easy ID card system simplifies the purchasing process for customers by providing quality Datacard products in a single package that is easy to install and easy to use. SP25 Card Printer

The versatile SP25 card printer is like having two printers in one! It combines high-quality, dye sublimation with rewritable card printing technology* in an efficient manual feed design ideal for low-volume, single-card printing applications. The printer is available with or without IAT magnetic stripe encoding. Choose a technology that fits the application and enjoy the benefits of the versatile SP25 printer. End users can easily switch from color printing to rewritable printing by making one setting adjustment and removing the ribbon cartridge. Rewritable printing allows users to erase and rewrite cards over 500 times to update dynamic information such as loyalty points, class schedules, or an expiration date to give just a few examples.

*For more information on rewritable technology, please download our Technology Guide for Rewritable Card Printing found under SP25 printer on PartnerPageSM. ID Works® Intro v6.0 Identification Software

ID Works Intro identification software provides a simple way to design ID cards and develop identification management solutions. It provides the core set of tools to design card layouts and their associated production (information entry) forms, enter and retrieve data, capture images, and print cards. It is designed for seamless migration to higher-level editions of ID Works software, should end user requirements grow over time.

Web Camera

The web camera has a fixed focus lens, with 1.3 megapixel resolution and outstanding low light performance. The camera comes with a tabletop stand and a flexible clip for mounting the camera to a monitor, CRT, or laptop. As camera technologies evolve quickly and may require us to update the camera in the future, Datacard Group is committed to providing the latest available technology with the quality and features that are the same or better than the current offering.

Supply Kit

The 1-2-3 Easy ID card system supply kit contains Datacard® Certified Supplies featuring Intelligent Supplies Technology™. This technology enables the advanced performance and features of the SP25 card printer, including the following enhancements:

• Automatic ribbon identification and validation • Automatic printer settings and offsets • Ribbon low warning • Advanced Imaging Technology • Ribbon Saver

Datacard Group Confidential December 2006 5

The 1-2-3 Easy ID card system features Datacard proprietary ribbons designed specifically for use in the SP25 printer. When the printer recognizes that a Datacard ribbon is installed, all enhanced product features are enabled and successful card printing can begin. The printer will only print images when Datacard proprietary ribbons are installed. Datacard Group is your exclusive source for proprietary ribbons for the SP25 printer and 1-2-3 Easy ID card system. The 1-2-3 Easy ID card system color YMCKT supply kits include 125 blank cards, one 125-image print ribbon, one adhesive cleaning sleeve and one isopropanol cleaning card. Supply Items Available Separately for Purchase (not included in the 1-2-3 Easy ID card system bundle) Datacard Group also offers a ymcKT short panel color supply kit for use with the SP25 printer. Short panel ribbon is economical as it provides shorter color panels for photos, and standard sized K- and T-panels for black printing and full card topcoat protection. This ribbon is available in the affordable 125-image yield roll size and can be used by customers who print color images such as photos on only a small portion of each card. In addition to the complete supply kits that include ribbon, cards, and cleaning supplies, color and monochrome ribbon kits without cards are available separately. Packs of blank cards, blank cards with mag stripe, and rewritable cards are also available separately. Please see the Ordering and Pricing Information section of this announcement for a complete listing.

PRODUCT POSITIONING

The 1-2-3 Easy ID card system is positioned as an entry-level ID card printing system for small businesses and organizations who need to print small volumes of cards. The simplified feature sets of the printer and software provide a streamlined way for customers to experience using Datacard products, and provide a good base to get started printing and issuing ID cards or other card programs. The manual feed single-sided printer is well suited for applications requiring one-at-a-time card processing. ID Works Intro provides the perfect level of features so end users have a quick and simple way to design and produce ID cards for their organizations. The camera has a fixed focus lens, making capturing photos an easy point-and-click process. MARKET OPPORTUNITIES

The 1-2-3 Easy ID card system is the perfect solution for small businesses and organizations who want to add security through a corporate identification program, or increase customer satisfaction and retention through a membership or loyalty card program. The affordable 1-2-3 Easy ID card system offers new possibilities for customers who thought having their own system was out of reach.

In addition to using the system to print full color cards, this system can also print on rewritable cards. This rewritable technology is perfect for customers who may want to update dynamically changing information such as loyalty points on cards that can be reused over 500 times.

The following market applications are just a sampling of possible 1-2-3 Easy ID card system applications.

Markets - Full Color Printing

Education (K-12) One of the key responsibilities for schools is to provide a safe, secure environment for children, faculty, staff and visitors. Security has become increasingly more important in today’s environment. The 1-2-3 Easy ID card system provides a complete product solution to make it easier for schools to stay safe at a price they can afford.

Small Corporations

Protecting employees, property, and profits are a main concern to corporations today. Identifying who should or should not be allowed access can be achieved through visual, physical identification. Corporations with field service or delivery personnel can add a level of professionalism and safety for their customers by utilizing an ID badging program for employees. The 1-2-3 Easy ID card system provides everything a small corporation needs to add this extra security.

Datacard Group Confidential December 2006 7

Loyalty/Retail

The Loyalty/Retail market is a fast growing market. More retailers are interested in understanding each customer’s buying habits. With loyalty/retail cards, retailers can not only track the customer’s buying habits but also design specific marketing campaigns that would be attractive to that particular end user. With the 1-2-3 Easy ID card system, retailers can offer customized loyalty cards on the spot, eliminating any inconvenience.

Membership

Today’s market is driven by customized, one-to-one marketing. With identity information, organizations can provide special incentives to their members and conduct aggressive direct marketing campaigns. Membership organizations can use photo ID solutions to help ensure member-only access to their facilities and track member service usage during each visit. The customers also have an option to use their cards throughout the facility instead of having to carry cash or credit cards for additional purchases.

Resort and Hospitality Markets The 1-2-3 Easy ID card system is ideal for the resort/hospitality market. With a colorful, bright photo loyalty or room key card, your customers will be able to track guest traveling habits, preferences and market their business appropriately with loyalty points, aggressive discounts and additional give-a-ways. What better way to grow your business than by having a strong loyalty campaign!

Datacard Group Confidential December 2006 8

Markets - Rewritable Printing

The 1-2-3 Easy ID card system can also be used to print on rewritable cards. Rewritable card printing technology introduces innovative ways for small businesses to add a level of customer intimacy by allowing on-the-spot or point-of-sale updates on cards that can be printed, erased and rewritten over 500 times. Dynamic information such as point totals, valid-through dates, and customer names can be updated on the go. Since a ribbon is not used when printing re-writable cards, the only supply expense involved in printing rewritable cards is the rewritable card itself. Markets with opportunities to utilize this technology include retail, entertainment, corporate ID, transportation, education, and healthcare markets.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The following is a list of frequently asked questions created to help you better understand the 1-2-3 Easy ID card system. Q1: Do I need to use the installation CD that is inside the camera box? A1: No, everything needed to install the 1-2-3 Easy ID card system is contained on the 1-2-3 Easy

ID card system installation CD found in the top of the system box. We do recommend you retain the camera installation CD as a back-up.

Q2: Can I purchase the web camera only? A2: No, the web camera is not available for sale as an individual item. Q3: Are there special handling considerations when manually feeding cards in the SP25

card printer? A3: To help ensure that images and information are properly printed on a PVC or rewritable card,

we recommend that all cards be handled by the edges and not the card front or back. Oil and dirt can easily be transferred to the front of a card handled improperly, which results in poor print quality.

Q4: Where can I find additional information regarding utilizing the ID Works Intro software? A4: Once the system has been installed via the installation CD, there will be an “ID Works Library”

icon on the PC desktop. Double-clicking this icon opens up a complete on-line reference library and operator’s guide.

Q5: What languages are supported on the 1-2-3 Easy ID card system and software? A5: The 1-2-3 Easy ID system is currently available only in English. Q6: Is there a full installation of ID Works software available on PartnerPage? A6: Yes, you can download the ID Works v6.0 Evaluation Software, including all editions and plug-

ins, from PartnerPage. Q7: Can I purchase a software maintenance agreement for my 1-2-3 Easy ID card system? A7: Yes, a software maintenance agreement is available for $50.00 per year. This applies to ID

Works Intro v6.0 identification software only. A software maintenance agreement entitles the customer to technical phone support for the duration of the agreement and access to free upgrades to future ID Works Intro 6.x releases.

Q8: How do I switch from normal dye sublimation color or monochrome printing to

rewritable printing and vice versa? A8: When switching from PVC printing to rewritable printing, first check the “rewritable” box in the

printer driver and remove the print ribbon cartridge from the printer. When switching from rewritable to PVC printing, uncheck the “rewritable” box in the printer driver and install the print ribbon cartridge in the printer.

Q9: What type of information can be written on a rewritable card? A9: Rewritable cards are written in a blue monochromatic dye and can contain text, photos, and

other images. Datacard Group does not recommend that bar codes be printed, as most readers will have difficulty reading the bar code produced on a rewritable card.

Datacard Group Confidential December 2006 14

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (continued)

Q10: How many times can a rewritable card be erased and rewritten? A10: When used as instructed, the rewritable cards Datacard offers can be erased and rewritten

over 500 times per card. Card life may be longer provided that cards are not exposed to UV light and the SP25 write power is adjusted so “image ghosting” is not evident.

Q11: Do ribbons developed for use in other SP Series printers operate in the SP25 card

printer? A11: Ribbons developed for use in the Datacard® SP35, SP55, and SP75 printers will not operate in

the SP25 card printer. The only ribbons that the SP25 card printer recognizes are the 125 image yield YMCKT and ymcKT ribbons and the 500 image yield black HQ ribbon.

Q12: Does the SP25 card printer work with Datacard monochrome ribbons as well as third

party monochrome ribbons, just as the other SP Series printers do? A12: The only monochrome ribbon that functions with the SP25 card printer is the Datacard black

HQ ribbon (item number 552954-604). Other Datacard monochrome ribbons and third party monochrome ribbons are not recognized by the SP25 printer and will not allow the printer to operate.

Q13: What is the difference between a “supply kit” and a “ribbon kit?” A13: Supply kits available for use with the SP25 card printer are only available with full color ribbons

and include 125 blank cards and cleaning supplies within the kit. Ribbon kits available for use with the various SP Series printers include one roll of ribbon and cleaning supplies within the kit (no cards).

Q14: What is the Ribbon Saver feature and how does it work? A14: The Ribbon Saver feature is only available in the SP Series card printers and is unique to the

Datacard ribbons used in those printers. For monochrome print ribbon applications: Instead of advancing one card length of ribbon for

every printed card, the SP25 card printer advances just past the actual portion of the ribbon that has just been used. Depending on the card design, this feature can potentially triple the standard yield of a monochrome print ribbon!

For color panel ribbon applications: The SP25 card printer is able to automatically identify the ribbon configuration without advancing the print ribbon one panel set. This eliminates the unnecessary loss of ribbon when the printer is turned off and reinitialized.

Q15: Can I take a partially used print ribbon from one SP25 card printer and use it in another

SP25 card printer? A15: Yes. The individual print ribbon information is maintained on the RF tag; not in the SP25 card

printer. When a partially used print ribbon is installed into a second SP25 card printer, the RF tag on the take-up core informs the printer of the type of print ribbon installed and the remaining number of images available on the supply core.

Q16: Can the ribbon cartridge from other SP Series card printers be used in the SP25

printer? A16: Yes, the same ribbon cartridge is used in all SP Series card printers, including the SP25

printer.

Datacard Group Confidential December 2006 15

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (continued)

Q17: How many cards will the SP25 output hopper hold? A17: The SP25 card printer can hold up to 9 printed ISO ID-1(CR80/0.030) cards in the output

hopper. This number can be lower, depending on the card’s original flatness. Q18: Does the 1-2-3 Easy ID card system have separate models for full color printing and

rewritable printing? A18: No. Both 1-2-3 Easy ID card systems are capable of printing color or monochrome on PVC

cards and erasing and writing rewritable card stock. Q19: Can the thermal printheads from the SP35, SP55, or SP75 printers be installed into the

SP25 printer? A19: The SP25 printer uses a new printhead that is different than the printhead used in the other SP

Series printers. Even though the printhead connector is the same for both printheads, the SP25 printhead should only be used in the SP25 printer.

Q20: Does the SP25 printer support the same magnetic stripe formats as other SP Series

printers? A20: Yes, all SP Series printers, including the SP25 card printer, use the same magnetic stripe

formats (IAT, BINARY, NTT, TRIPLE IATA (3 Track IATA), AAMVA, VING, and SAFLOK). Customized magnetic stripe formats are also available through the firmware diagnostic program.

Q21: Are demo units of the 1-2-3 Easy ID card system available? A21: The 1-2-3 Easy ID card system is available through our demo program. See the demo order

form on PartnerPage.
