Communications Systems | LBB 4442/00 Line Supervision Set
The Praesideo system uses a unique loudspeaker linemonitoring principle, which requires no additional cable.The loudspeaker line itself is used to communicate withthe supervision-slave installed at the end of theloudspeaker line.
The LBB 4442/00 contains the master and slave device forsupervision of a single loudspeaker line. For supervision ofmultiple loudspeaker line branches and loudspeakers, theuse of the LBB 4440/00 Supervision Control Board inconjunction with the LBB 4441/00 and LBB 4443/00Supervision Boards is recommended.
Functions
Each amplifier channel in an LBB 442x/x0 or PRS‑xPxxxPower Amplifier unit has an internal mechanical andelectrical provision for an LBB 4442/00 master board. Theslave board fits into the Bosch range of loudspeakers andcan be mounted in the last speaker in the line, or in aseparate housing at the end of the line. The short-to-ground and short-circuit detection for the lines areincorporated in the power amplifier. Line faults aredetected and reported within 100 s. The pilot tonegenerator for speaker monitoring is generated in theamplifier and powers the slave unit. Line monitoring canbe switched on and off from the configuration software.
