Communications Systems | LBB 4442/00 Line Supervision Set The Praesideo system uses a unique loudspeaker line monitoring principle, which requires no additional cable. The loudspeaker line itself is used to communicate with the supervision-slave installed at the end of the loudspeaker line. The LBB 4442/00 contains the master and slave device for supervision of a single loudspeaker line. For supervision of multiple loudspeaker line branches and loudspeakers, the use of the LBB 4440/00 Supervision Control Board in conjunction with the LBB 4441/00 and LBB 4443/00 Supervision Boards is recommended. Functions Each amplifier channel in an LBB 442x/x0 or PRS‑xPxxx Power Amplifier unit has an internal mechanical and electrical provision for an LBB 4442/00 master board. The slave board fits into the Bosch range of loudspeakers and can be mounted in the last speaker in the line, or in a separate housing at the end of the line. The short-to- ground and short-circuit detection for the lines are incorporated in the power amplifier. Line faults are detected and reported within 100 s. The pilot tone generator for speaker monitoring is generated in the amplifier and powers the slave unit. Line monitoring can be switched on and off from the configuration software.
