Communications Systems | PRS‑SWCS PC Call Server and PRS‑SWCSL PC Call Server NCO Client
The PRS‑SWCS PC Call Server is a Windows serviceconnected to one or more Praesideo network controllersvia TCP/IP, using the Praesideo open interface. It is usedin combination with one or more client applications, suchas the PC Call Station Client and the PC TelephoneInterface Client, handling all operational requests.
The PRS‑SWCS PC Call Server is configured via anincluded PC Call Server Configuration Client, running onthe same computer.
Functions
Configuration and ControlThe PRS‑SWCS PC Call Server provides facilities forconnected clients, such as identification, making of calls,BGM source and volume control, acknowledge and resetof emergency modes, time synchronization and licensecontrol. It operates on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7platforms.
Via the PRS‑SWCS PC Call Server Configuration Client theconnections of the connected network controllers can bemonitored and set up. In case of multiple networkcontrollers audio connections between networkcontrollers can be configured to enable calls from onePraesideo network to other Praesideo networks.
Configuration data of each connected Praesideosubsystem can be retrieved from the network controllersand used for configuration of the PRS‑SWCS PC CallServer. Multiple views of a system can be configured asbackground images with zone and zone group locations,independent for different users of clients. Also multiplepredefined calls can be configured for different userswhich can be accessed via e.g. one or more PRS‑CSC PCCall Station Clients. These predefined calls may containinformation about priority, zones, tones, messages, livespeech and zones. The zones can be part of differentPraesideo systems, as long as all these systems areconnected to the PRS‑SWCS PC Call Server.
The PRS‑SWCS PC Call Server allows control of BGMsource and volume in the configured zones and givesfeedback about the actual volume to the clients.
LicenseThe PRS‑SWCS PC Call Server uses a USB dongle foridentification of the system for all licenses purchased. Thedongle is supplied with the PRS‑SWCS PC Call Server.The PRS‑SWCS PC Call Server already comes with alicense for use with one network controller. Additionallicenses for more network controllers, connected to thesame PRS‑SWCS PC Call Server are available as PRS-SWCSL PC Call Server NCO License.

Applications, such as the PRS‑CSC PC Call Station Client,also require a license. Only one application license isrequired, independent of the number of clients (operatorpanels) that are connected.
