The repeat panel duplicates all of the control panelindications and the essential controls.
The repeat panel has its own mains derived powersupply with battery for standby power in the eventof mains supply failure. A lockable front doorprevents unauthorised access to fire alarm controlsbut allows all of the indicators to be seen. Thepanel is designed for semi-flush or surfacemounting and facilitates both rear and top cableentry points.
This repeat panel can be installed on a loop circuitof an EN or BS Vigilon fire detection and alarmsystem. It can be sited near an entry or exit pointof a building and fit in with the loop cable routing.
CompatibilityThe repeat panel is compatible with system controlpanel having card and software below:

Password or PIN code
The terms Password, PIN (PersonalIdentification Number), Usercode and Access codemean the same and are used interchangeably.
A password restricts access to the controls available to theuser at the Repeat panel.
There are four access levels to the controls.
The Access level 1 controls only allowscycling through of multiple fire eventsmessages on the screen using the twobuttons on the outer door.
Access level 2a is for the CUSTOMER. Herethe person responsible for the system canaccess the 'essential controls' by opening thepanel outer door using a key
Access level 2b is for the CUSTOMER. Herethe person responsible for the system canaccess essential controls and someconfiguration menus using the panel door keyplus a customer PIN.
Access level 3 is for the ENGINEER. Herethe person responsible for the system canaccess essential controls and all systemmenus using the panel door key plus EngineerPIN.
Daily PINThere is another PIN that changes daily, which is available to the servicingorganisation. This daily PIN provides the sameaccess to controls as the Engineers' PIN. Thedaily PIN is only used when the Engineer'sPIN is not known.
Always make a note of the Customer andEngineering PINs once they are created. Ensure theCustomer PIN is passed on to the person responsiblefor the fire alarm system on the site.
How to create an Engineer PIN
All Vigilon panels leave the factory with no Engineer PIN code(Access level 3 code). Therefore, on first power up there is anopen access to all the Access level 3 menus.
The menu options under the Engineer PIN provides access to access
level 3 controls that can alter the configuration of the system.
To create or change an existing Engineer PIN:
(You will need to be at Access level 3 if an Engineer PIN is alreadyset up.)
Press the Menu On/ Off button and select [Test/Eng]->[UserCode]# -> then momentarily press <etc> toselect [Config] -> [New Pass] and then type a newPIN or change an existing PIN and press the Enterkey.# - will appear if a PIN is already setup.
It is recommended that the PIN is at least 4 numbersand no greater than 15 numbers and letters in thepassword code.
How to change the Customer PIN
This repeat panel automatically sets up aFACTORY DEFAULT CUSTOMER PIN: 2 2 2 2, that is afteran Engineer PIN is made active.
The Customer PIN provides access to access level 2 restricted menuoptions that cannot alter the configuration of the system. To change aCustomer PIN:
You will need to be at Access level 2.
Press the Menu On/Off button and then [Test/Eng]-> [UserCode] -> enter the existing Customer PINand select [Enter], select [New Pass] and then typea PIN of less than 15 characters in length and pressthe Enter key.
It is recommended that the PIN is at least 4 numbersand no greater than 15 numbers for Vigilon compactand Vigilon Compact VA panels. The Vigilon panelscan use numbers and letters in the password code.
How to erase a PINThe Engineer or Customer PIN can be erased. To erase the PIN ofeither Customer or Engineer level you will need to be at therespective access level.
Press the Menu On/Off button and then [Test/Eng]-> [UserCode] -> enter the existing CustomerPIN/Engineer PIN and select [Enter], select [NewPass] and then just press the Enter key, this willerase the PIN.
