FIERY MOVES (DANCE)

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

Participants will perform a classical / semi classical/ contemporary dance.

The duration of the performance should be 2-3 minutes.

Costumes may be in accordance to the dance performance and should be presentable.

Background music / song should be brought in a pen drive to be played in the competition.

Judgement will be based on costumes, jewellery, make up, rhythm, song , coordination and creativity/ choreography and overall presentation.

A warning bell will ring ½ a minute prior to the end of the time limit and the final bell will ring at the end of the time limit.

SWAR MANTHAN (SINGING)

RULES AND REGULATIONS:-

Participants will sing a classical / semi classical meaningful song in Hindi/English.

Duration 2-3 minutes inclusive of introduction. Dress code – white shirt/ kurta with white pants /

churidar / salwar. Background music – Live or recorded music can be

used for enhancement of the song. Recorded music can be brought in a pen drive.

Instrument to be played can be of one’s own choice.

Judgement will be based on rhythm, swar , taal , laya, coordination, delivery, choice of song and overall performance.

A warning bell will ring ½ a minute prior to the end of the time limit and the final bell will ring at the end of the time limit.

EVENT - 3

ZAIKA- THE FOODY FIX (COOKERY)

RULES AND REGULATIONS :-

All participants will present a dish of their choice made at home in the competition.

Presentation and display time for laying the dish on the table is 30 minutes.

Dress code – White Apron over uniform and white chef cap (can be made from white chart paper also).

No cooking will be allowed at school. Only assembling and decoration of items (cooked/uncooked) can be done in the class.

Judgement will be based on presentation, originality of the dish, nutritional value and taste.

MASQUERADE (FANCY DRESS)

RULES AND REGULATIONS:-

Props and Aids shall be used according to the need and presentation of the character.

Total time inclusive of introduction allotted is 2 to 3 minutes.

Costume shall be in accordance to the portrayal of character depicted.

Judgement will be based on the selection of content , delivery , message, expression, props , costume and overall presentation.

A warning bell will ring ½ a minute prior to the end of the time limit and the final bell will ring at the end of the time limit.

SCRAP SMITH (WEALTH OUT OF WASTE)

RULES AND REGULATIONS :-

Participants will make a craft from waste/ used things , material , articles.

Time allotted for assembling , presentation and display is 30 minutes.

Craft made should be useful and made from environmental friendly material.

Judgement will be based on creativity , neatness, utility/usefulness , material used and overall presentation.

CRESCENDO (INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC)

RULES AND REGULATIONS :-

The participants should bring their own instruments.

Time limit for the performance will be 2-3 minutes. Performance should be live. (No marks will be given

for electronically set instrument). Judgement will be based on Swar, Taal , Laya and

Raga. A warning bell will ring ½ a minute prior to the end

of the time limit and the final bell will ring at the end of the time limit.

KATHA SAGAR (STORY NARRATION)

RULES AND REGULATIONS:-

Participants will narrate a moral based story of their own. No marks will be given to a story picked from books, net etc.

Time duration 2-3 minutes. Costume and props if any should be according to

the story. Mode of narration – It can be in English/Hindi. Judgement will be based on costume, props,

theme/ moral content , relevance , delivery , proper dramatization, expression and overall presentation.

A warning bell will ring ½ a minute prior to the end of the time limit and the final bell will ring at the end of the time limit.

EVENT 8

SHLOKOCHAARNAM (SHLOKA RECITATION )

RULES AND REGULATIONS:-

T he Sanskrit shlokas may be selected for recitation. A brief interpretation of the shloka must be given in Hindi.

Shlokas selected must be based on moral values. Students will be judged on the basis of their correct

pronunciation , selection , fluency , recitation and explanation.

Time limit for the presentation is 2-3 minutes. A warning bell will ring ½ a minute prior to the end

of the time limit and the final bell will ring at the end of the time limit.

Decision of the judges is final and binding.
