Background information.

I have been with my present employer since leaving further education at the age of 18. I am loyal, eager and driven.

Outside of work I lead an active lifestyle, enjoy being outdoors when time allows. I have just celebrated my 1st anniversary with my wife. I am a keen walker, along with my Spaniel Millie, snowboarder and also enjoy clay pigeon shooting.

Warehouse Manager Tesco Plc

Signed off and appointed as a warehouse manager 9 months after joining the development course, also being the first at our Tesco site to pass the programme.

Successfully developed into a consistent high performing manager, leading from the front and by example.

Led the depot from ‘paper picking’ to ‘paperless’ by being the champion for the night shift, coaching and mentoring on all levels resulting in a smooth transition.

Led the nightshift and stood in as Duty manager for the shift for 9 months, responsible for achieving KPI’s, manning levels, achieving finance and budget targets and leading a team of 15 managers to successfully deliver the depots objectives.

Successful in transferring skills from a fresh depot to an ambient depot.

Supported other depots by helping to recruit a strong hard working team when the depot opened.

Charity champion for the site, helping to raise £1000’s for our charity of the year, personally trekking to Mt Everest base camp and completing the Great North run.

Currently on a development course to senior management.

Highly experienced in all aspects of assembly, goods in and goods out. Trained in manual handling techniques and health and safety at work. Fully qualified in 1st Aid at work (held to this day)
