KEEP THE ENGINE RUNNING SMOOTHLY!
A few months ago I had the oil, air filters, brake fluid, transmission fluid and power steering fluid changed in Lynn’s vehicle. You have heard the terms “routine” or as some mechanics say “preventative maintenance”. I went in just for an oil change that would cost under $50. The service tech said “to keep your engine running smoothly” we need to do all this other preventative maintenance. Before I knew it, I had new windshield wipers, tires, serpentine belt and an invoice that exceeded my monthly car payment. You know, the mechanic was right, the car runs pretty smooth considering it’s an older vehicle.
I have found through being married, there are some things you can and should do to “keep the engine running smoothly” in marriage to keep your marriage strong and healthy. One of the keys to a healthy marriage is communication.
Starting May 25th from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Crossroads Life Group room (C-160) Robert and Beverly Junell & JD and Dana Ward will lead a 4 session workshop on Wednesday nights dealing with communication. This workshop is designed for engaged or married couples. Whether you are engaged or have been married for several years, this workshop is for you. Come even if your spouse is unable to attend. Please sign up in your Life Group, Connection Center or call the church office, 358-7681.
