NOTE: While the PK Dance/Instructional Program distributes costumes, all other costumes are considered the property of Taylor Dance unless otherwise determined. WEATHER Taylor Dance has its own inclement weather policy and does not necessarily follow any particular school system closings.     What does INISTRUCTIONAL mean?

    Simply stated, instructional means classes meet one day per week and all instructional students may participate in a specially themed spring production.

    FEES ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE ENSEMBLE CLASS PARTICIPANTS WHO ARE ALSO PERFORMING MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REFERENCE THE PERFORMING MEMBER PACKAGE FOR FURTHER FEES, POLICIES, AND COMMITMENT INFORMATION. Performing members at the time of registration, are committing to all fees and policies through the dance year ending June 6, 2020. Annual tuition fees MAY be prorated for those who join during the dance year.

    COVID 19 Policies

    NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN and there are no discounts for on-line only classes. Masks are required for all staff and students – NO EXCEPTIONS! Classes will be offered in-studio as allowed and also on-line interactively at no extra charge. Classes will move to on-line exclusively if situation warrants until the safety of students and staff can be maintained at an acceptable level. Please refer to In-Studio Policies for more information. A signed In-Studio Policies form must be on file for admittance to facility. These policies will be updated as deemed necessary at the discretion of the Executive Director.

    What does ENSEMBLE mean?

    Simply stated, ENSEMBLE students want more…. ENSEMBLE students study more than one day per week, are eligible for both the Nutcracker and Spring productions along with special events based on level.

  • COVID 19 IN STUDIO CLASS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR 2020-2021 SEASON Failure to comply could result in access to on-line interactive classes only. (rev July 2020)

    STUDENT DRESS/CONDUCT CODE

    • Come dressed for class, including hair in bun for girls, as restrooms are closed for changing purposes. (Dancewear is encouraged to be worn under street clothes when entering & exiting.)

    • Students are required to streamline/reduce the size of their dance bags during this time. (Clean out the junk and reduce the size!)

    • Students are required to provide and wear a clean mask upon entering and at all times while inside the facility.

    • Students must use the hand sanitizer station upon entry. • BRING OWN WATER SOURCE – Only water allowed in studios

    and lobby traffic will be held to a minimum for restroom use only. Water fountains may only be used to fill water bottles.

    • Maintain a minimum of 6 feet apart. (Posted studio occupancy is determined based on this and floors will be marked.)

    • Sneeze/cough into elbows and sanitize/wash hands immediately.

    • Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth.

    PICK UP AND DROP OFF PROCEDURES Parents/Guardians are responsible for ensuring students are not exhibiting any symptoms of Covid-19 prior to arrival.*

    Lobby is closed, so students will enter through assigned studio outside doors.

    • Students will not be allowed to enter their assigned studios prior to class or until the studio has been vacated and cleaned.

    • Students will be greeted at the outside door by assigned faculty member who will ask the required questions for entry.

    o Do you (or do anyone you are dropping off) have a fever*, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, new loss of taste or smell (vomiting or diarrhea, children only)?

    o Have you (or any of the children you are dropping off): Had any of these symptoms since last time

    • Students will be dismissed outside the same door they entered.

    • Congregation outside the studio doors is prohibited. • Students only in facility to ensure ratio compliance.

    SYMPTOMS NOTE: **For the health and safety of all, those who believe they may have had indirect exposure, must contact the Executive Director for guidance before entering the studio environment. (Those exhibiting cough/cold symptoms may also be invited to join on-line classes.)

    OBVIOUS SIGNS OF CONCERN: • Fever* • Cough • Shortness of breath or difficulty of breathing

    Additional symptoms include chills, new lost of taste or smell, and vomiting/diarrhea (children only). While symptoms are similar to adults, children may have milder symptoms. *Fever is determined by the studio no-touch thermometer. If a dancer develops any symptoms of Covid-19, parents/guardians will be contacted immediately for pick up. Any dancer who is sick (any fever, respiratory, or gastrointestinal symptoms) or believe they might have Covid-19 should stay home and join classes on-line. Dancers may return to the studio when they can answer yes to all the following:

    • Has it been at least 10 days since you first had symptoms? • Have you been without fever for 3 days (72 hrs) without any

    medicine for fever? • Has it been 3 days (72 hours) since your symptoms have

    improved?

    CURRICULUM Curriculum will be held to the same high standards according to Level and adapted to conform to distancing directives.

    ADMINISTRATION STAFFING/COMMUNICATION

    To maintain building ratios, administration staffing will be held to a minimum. Communication is recommended by email or phone and payments may be made through the website portal. Faculty will be dedicated to student’s training and well-being at this time.
