Once you have completed your BTEC you have the option to continue your education or to start out in the world of work. Past CDA students have used their qualifications in these areas:

University

Students have pursued their studies in the performing arts at degree level at a range of universities in the UK. Our course is recognised as equivalent to one or two A Levels and as such carries the same amount of UCAS points.

Specialist College

There are many specialist performing arts colleges in the UK and past students have been successful in gaining places on their courses. The CDA programme includes a high percentage of practical units which help to prepare our young performers for this type of training.

The Workplace

Our programme is highly vocational and students are encouraged to use real life examples in their work. A unit in business studies is a key part of the course and helps to equip students with the skills needed to impress employers and become effective members of the industry.

For more information about careers in the performing arts industry please see www.ukperformingarts.co.uk or www.cdet.org.uk.
