The first football bowl game to be played in 2011, featuring two prominent college teams, will kick off at 11 a.m. and incorporate a full day of events geared to motorcycle enthusiasts of all ages and interest levels. “Football and motorcycling are iconic American pastimes and we are bringing them together in one bowl game day experience that will be unforgettable,” said Tom Starr, President and CEO of the Dallas Football Classic. The Biker Bowl will showcase a vintage bike exhibit, host a variety of vendors and product demonstrations, feature live music and entertainment, and cater to both male and female motorcycle fans with a custom bike show and motorclothes fashion show. Halftime festivities will include a bike giveaway and special appearances by industry notables. The Dallas Football Classic will also honor the nation’s military personnel, law enforcement officers, firefighters and other first responders during the game. In a special tribute to America’s Vietnam veterans, The Wall That Heals exhibition will also be on- site at the Fair Park’s Exhibition Hall. It features a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. and commemorates the 58,249 men and women who were killed or missing in action during the 10 years of the Vietnam War. It will arrive the City of Dallas with a motorcycle escort. Free parking is available to those who cruise into Dallas on their bikes.
