Welcome to Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park’s Haunted Hollow! We would like to take this opportunity to “thank you” for choosing to visit us. The Recreation Staff has a wide variety of activities planned for you on this spooky holiday! All activities are free unless otherwise noted ($).

Friday, October 20th

7:00 p.m. Evening Hike: Whoooo, whooo, whooo are you? Owls, bugs, frogs, and more may be heard in the night. Take a walk on the wild side as we search for some of our night-time forest friends. The trail will be about 1 mile long, so bring a flashlight and wear comfortable shoes so we can explore the night life! Location: Meet at Boom Ridge/Eagles Point Connector Trailhead (on lodge rd.) Approx. Time: 1 hour Ages: All (15 & under must have adult supervision.)

October 20 - 21, 2017

Campsite Decorating Contest Use your imagination and make you campsite the spookiest in the campground. You must register at the Campground Store before 5 pm on Saturday to be eligible. The winner will be announced Saturday at the Campground Store by 9 p.m.

Pumpkin Carving Contest Bring your carved pumpkins to the Campground Store by 3 pm Saturday to be judged. All visitors are welcome to stop by and vote for your favorite pumpkin from 3 – 8 pm Saturday evening. The winner will be announced Saturday at the Campground Store by 9 p.m.

Saturday, October 21st

9:30 a.m. POW! ZAP! WHAM! Calling all superheroes! Join us at the shelter to create your own free superhero mask. Be sure to wear your mask to our Princess and Superhero Party this evening.

Location: Campground Shelter Ages: All Approximate Time: 1 hour

11:30 a.m. Spend the remainder of the morning winning sweet treats during this kid-friendly game of bingo! Adult assistance may be needed by younger participants.

1:30 p.m. Special guest entertainment will be provided by Burkesville Academy of Fine Arts. Take a seat and enjoy our community’s local talent during this musical showcase.

Location: Ray Mullinix Convention Center Ages: All Approximate Time: 1 hour 2:30 p.m. We’re having a party and you’re invited! Kids will get an opportunity to

visit with princesses and superheroes as they paint their very own pumpkin. Don’t forget to bring your mask that you made this morning for some great photo opportunities!

Location: Ray Mullinix Convention Center Ages: All Approximate Time: 1 ½ hours 5:00 p.m. Show up in your Halloween best as awards will be presented in various categories

and age groups. Bring Rover, because there will be a pet category in this year’s contest! Location: Campground Amphitheater Approximate Time: 45 minutes

5:30 p.m. Calling all ghouls, goblins, witches, and monsters. The campground is THE place to be for all trick-or-treaters. The front desk and country store will also be handing out candy to anyone dressed in costume. Please watch for traffic when walking around the campground.

5:00 p.m. Come to the Island View Restaurant located in the Mary Ray Oaken Lodge for a special spooky buffet. Treat your senses and your tummy. All customers who purchase a buffet will get a ticket for a FREE hay ride!

6:00 p.m. Climb on board a fall hayride and enjoy a ride through the hollow. Please sign up and pay at the Campground Store. NO BEVERAGES OR PETS ALLOWED!

Fee: 12 years & up $3.00, 5 – 11 years $2.00, 4 & under FREE Ages: 15 & under must be accompanied by an adult
