Europe and Middle East to study art.• 1963-returns to Washington to continue studies• 1969-76-continues to travel and study art in

Europe• 1976 in a car wreck-loses his eye-After this

period, he starts his experimentation in blown glass while teaching.

This was specifically designed to also create a “lighted sculpture on the wall directly opposite the display.

• Each piece is designed and displayed to be seen through and illuminated by a light source.

Objective:

• Create a simulated glass sculpture in the style of Dale Chihuly.

• Criteria:– Can be a relief or in-the-round sculpture

displayed on wall. – Coordinating transparent color schemes.– Minimium of two layers of relief.
