GENERAL NOTES

Situation

Trusley Wood Farm lies to the South of Longlane and the North of Etwall bypass (A516). From Longlane turn down towards Dalbury Lees and past the village hall on the left to the Black Cow Public House. Bear right for Dalbury and travel down the lanes for approximately 1 ½ miles to the main junction. Turn right signed for Sutton and Trusley and after ¾ mile at the grass triangle turn right into Trusley village. Travel into the village and on the bend turn right into Taylors Lane with Trusley Wood Farm lying at the top of the lane (second property). From the A516 at Etwall Bypass turn into Ash Lane signed for Sutton on the Hill and travel past the two lanes on the left for Sutton village and round the main right hand bend. Continue straight on for Trusley and Dalbury (do not take Common Piece Lane left). Travel 1 mile along passing Gold Hurst Farm on the right and go round the left hand bend. After 300 yards on reaching the grass triangle turn left into Dalbury village and travel into the village to the left hand bend. Turn right into Taylors Lane with Trusley Wood farm lying at the top of the lane (second property over 3 cattlegrids).

‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale.

FOREWORD This most genuine dispersal of machinery and suckler cows and stores results from the retirement of Mr Jim Archer, the tenancy of Trusley Wood Farm having been relinquished. Mr and Mrs Archer have been at the farm since 1989 with Jim breeding Angus cattle for over 20 years and specifically running suckler cows since 2008. Cattle have been sent on the Waitrose scheme since it commenced over 20 years ago and obviously adhered to their rigorous compliances. The herd today is virtually all homebred with the suckler cows being by Curzon Proud Gambit and Curzon Ernesto. Most recently he has used the bull Attwell Wally purchased from the Seafield Herd of Mike Attwell. The principle items of machinery include 2 well maintained New Holland Tractors together with a full range of arable and grassland machinery, cattle equipment, sundries and effects. Purchasers should attend and bid with confidence at this very genuine event.
