SALTIGA SERIES The Saltiga heralds a giant leap forward in design, revolving around one ground breaking material – magnetic fluid. Developed by NASA to magnetically deliver fuel to space ships and previously introduced to the 2010 Certate series, this revolutionary innovation has now been developed for Daiwa’s flagship heavy duty spinning reel.

This new metallic grease/oil actually changes shape with the introduction of a magnetic force (similar to the android in Terminator II), attaching itself to any other metal to form a super strong seal. Being magnetized this Magseal lubrication system prevents any friction or dust intrusion, eliminating oil spray and significantly improving reel life expectancy. This revolutionary magnetic oil membrane and Daiwa’s innovative design combined new CRBB bearings has made water intrusion a thing of the past.

Working in conjunction with the Mag Seal the Air Rotor has been hollowed out to create airflow through the whole rotor system. DAIWA PIRATES JIGThe most revolutionary jig to land on our shores.

The Pirates jig is the ultimate inshore/bay jig to be released in NZ. Whether you are fishing in shore reefs or the fast current areas of harbours, the Pirates jig is ideal for everything from snapper to kingfish.

Designed for inshore fishing, the Pirates jig introduces a unique head weight design. Featuring two tow points, the one on the front for fast vertical jigging and a middle mounted tow point for generating a wobbling action when slowly retrieved, the applications for this jig are endless. Use the front tow point for rapid retrieving for kingfish and tuna and the middle for reef species like snapper.

For a realistic action the Pirate incorporates a free swinging ‘squid’ skirt with twin assist heavy duty jig hooks. The squid skirt is easily changed by removing the assist hooks and sliding over a new one.

SALTIGA SACRIFICE STICK IIThe Sacrifice II Stick redefines the design of the high speed jig. Tested extensively through Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand, it has proved tremendous as an excellent high speed jig for Kingfish, Samson fish, Tuna etc

Daiwa has redeveloped the revolutionary Resist Wing edge previously only ever seen in the original Sacrifice Stick from many years ago, to produce a new design that resists water drag more efficiently than any other jig yet still retain an action. The new centre balanced Resist Wing edge is sharper, forcing water pressure away from the jig thus allowing for smoother less drag but also causing the jig to slide left to right.

Using only the finest materials Sacrifice II has an extreme fish attracting finish called “Magma”, looking like lava this surface is highly reflective and will reflect light even in the deepest waters. Coated with a high impact epoxy finish to resist damage, the jig also uses a super strong one piece stainless steel internal wire and a highly compressed lead main body that both help to minimise any jig from bending.

Using the best from both jigs Daiwa has redeveloped the revolutionary Resist Wing edge previously only ever seen in the original Sacrifice Stick from many years ago, to produce a new design that resists water drag more efficiently that any other fat wide jig. The original Leaf design has allowed for lower balance to be super fast sinking and the Resist Wing edge is sharper, forcing water pressure away from the jig thus allowing for smoother less drag but also causing the jig to flutter and slide left to right at any speed.

Using only the finest materials Sacrifice SL has an extreme fish attracting 3-dimensional (3D) finish, making the lure look larger underwater and the 3D finish reflects light even in the deepest waters. Coated with a high impact epoxy finish to resist damage, the jig also uses a super strong one piece stainless steel internal wire and a highly compressed lead main body that both help to minimise any jig from bending.
