The DaimlerChrysler Financial Services Diversity Council

DaimlerChrysler Financial Services

The DaimlerChrysler Financial Services Diversity Mission:To develop and sustain a dynamic organization that, by recognizing, valuing, and respecting

the diversity of our employees, customers, business partners, and the communities in which

we operate, can better adapt to ever changing business conditions and cultures.

Diversity is a Driving Force

Behind Our Success

DaimlerChrysler Financial Services is a multi-cultural team of individuals committed to providing unparalleled financial services

for our dealers and customers in partnership with our automotive brands. The talent, passion and drive of our employees have

made us the automotive finance company of choice for over 40 years. We’re proud of the success we have achieved, yet we’re

eager to increase market share and enhance our bottom line. We conduct business with honesty and integrity, and without

hesitation, we consider our place of employment a great place to work.

We strongly believe in diversity and inclusion—our process to embrace the elements of diversity—that extends beyond race

and gender. We value and respect the differing cultures, lifestyles, backgrounds, and perspectives of all our employees,

customers, and people in the communities in which we live and work. Through this inclusive environment we elevate our

potential to develop better ideas, make better decisions and maximize engagement and profitability.

Conversely, in today’s highly competitive business climate, we acknowledge the need to expand our efforts in order to foster

this type of workplace. For this reason, we created the DaimlerChrysler Financial Services Diversity Council.

William F. Jones Jr.

Chairman of the DaimlerChrysler Financial Services

Diversity Council

We Are DaimlerChrysler Financial Services

The DaimlerChrysler Financial Services Diversity Council is comprised of prominent community leaders like you and will serve to

provide a third party, independent perspective on our diversity efforts. The Council will meet twice a year at a designated location

along with executive members of the Company and on occasion, external guests of honor. While the objectives of the Council

will likely change over the course of time, we currently envision the Council will discuss issues such as:

How to improve the diversity makeup of the organization

Identify diversity strengths and opportunities both within and outside the organization

Discuss diversity recruitment strategies

Diversity training and education

Affirm the company’s commitment to minority communities through educational programs such as financial literacy courses

On behalf of DaimlerChrysler Financial Services, I would like to thank you for your participation as a Diversity Council member,

and I look forward to your contributions to our diversity initiative.

I invite you to review the pages that follow, and become better acquainted with your fellow Council members.

Sincerely,

William F. Jones Jr.

Chairman of the DaimlerChrysler Financial Services
