Introduction

After failing in so many business

ventures, at one time my system just shut down and I preferred to lie on the sofa to ease the pain and comfort, drowning in my sorrow and business loss. But as a soldier in Christ Jesus that was the worst defeat a believer ought to take. I then realised that I had to confront my situation not with by strength but with the word of God in order to enjoy victory and allow the demonstration of God’s power by confronting the devil with the word of God just like Jesus did when he was tempted by the devil. So many times we fail in life and in business because of doing what we desire and not hearing from God. I came across the following scriptures that put my mind at rest and to realise that if you want to do anything in life, you have first to seek God’s face and ask the Father’s approval, if that is a project he wants you to

undertake. In Psalms 127 the word shows us that God has love for his children who hear

his voice and that he is the builder of our life and plans. If you do something without God’s involvement the bible says you labour in vain. I then realised that all the failures in my life have not been because of my inability to do the project, it’s been my inability of not allowing God to build my house and thus I laboured in vain.

“Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labour in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in Vain. In vain you rise up early and stay late toiling for food to eat-for he grants sleep to those he loves. Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like the arrows in the hands of a warrior are

sons born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in

the gate.” (NIV) Psalm 127

Today make a choice, pick yourself up and

fight in prayer and you must fight a good fight of faith if you want to win with a conquerors crown, there is no victory without conflict and no conquest without warfare. The Bible declares that from the time of John the Baptist the kingdom

suffers violence and the violent shall take it by force .Jesus already won the battle on our behalf, in Psalm 94:2-23 the word shows us that the Lord is our DEFENCE and my God is the rock of my refuge and shall bring upon them their own iniquity and shall cut them off in their wickedness.

“When you were dead in sin and in the

uncircumcsion of your sin God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins having

cancelled the written code with its regulations that was against us and stood opposed to us; he took

away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by

the cross.” Colossians 2:13-15

As a believer you are constantly faced with

battles at deferent levels in life from the enemy, but you should shine by arising and fighting whatever battle or warfare that comes your way. The best weapon you can use to fight the enemy is prayer, fasting and using the word of God when faced with a situation.

Today stop complaining and blaming God for all the failures in your life and start seeking God’s grace for victory through prayer and studying his

word. In Malachi 3:13-18 we see how that

most of the times as God’s workmanship we say things that hurt the heart of God.

God says:

” You have said harsh things against me, “says the LORD. Yet you ask what have you said against you? You have said,’ it is futile to serve God. What did we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners

before the LORD Almighty? But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly the evildoers prosper, and even those who challenge God

escape. Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard.

A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honoured his name. They will be mine, says the Lord Almighty, in the day when I make up treasure possession. I will spare then, just in

compassion a man spares his son who serves him. And you will gain see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve

God and those who do not. (NIV)

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you, he will never leave you

fast.

Chapter One

Fasting

Fasting is by choice and it is merely

staying away from eating any food and making time with the Lord more meaningful and it is spiritually rewarding. I believe that prayers are more effective when you take time and fast as well. You can fast 6am-6pm for a day or for three days or seven days depending on how serious your situation is. You can also fast sleep and pray from 12 midnight to 6am three

times or 21 days. It is for this reason that when we wake up in the morning we call the food we eat “BREAKFAST” meaning that you are now breaking the fast.

I remember not long ago I was on a mission trip to Zambia and a lady called my sister and told her that she was to be evicted from her house due to rental arrears and that she had heard from other tenants that the Landlord was busy preparing letters of eviction. I told my sister that I wanted to pray the lady. I went to her house that day and prayed for her, she had invited another lady who was also in the same situation. A few days later the lady called me with a much stressed tone of voice and told me that she had heard that the letters of eviction where to be given if she did not pay by a certain date. I prayed for her in my own time and I felt in my Spirit that we needed to pray and fast to get quick results. I called the lady and told her that we should declare the coming Sunday as a day of prayer and fasting and then I would go to her house to share the scriptures quoted in my introduction and break the fast. God answers prayer, I went to her house that Sunday and after prayer that day, a few days later the lady called my sister and told she should tell me that I’m a real man of God and that God should bless my ministry because

they were informed by the landlord that they were not going to be evicted and were given some arrangements to settle the rental arrears, to God be the glory.

Below are some steps one can take when starting a fast and during a prayer and fasting program.

Why are you fasting?

Is it for spiritual renewal, for guidance, for healing, for the resolution of problems, for special grace to handle a difficult situation.

Ask the Holy Spirit to clarify His leading and objectives for your prayer fast. This will enable you to pray more specifically and strategically.

Through fasting and prayer we humble ourselves before God, so the Holy Spirit will stir our souls, awaken our churches, and heal our land according to 2 Chronicles 7:14.

“If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear them from heaven and will

forgive their sin and heal their land” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Make this a priority in your fasting.

Pray about the kind of fast you should undertake. Jesus implied that all of His followers should fast:

“When you fast, do not look sombre as the hypocrites so, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. I tell you the truth; they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your heat and wash your

face, so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is

unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

Matthew 6:16-18

“Then John’s disciples came and asked him, how is it that we and the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast? Jesus answered, how can

the guest of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.

Mathew 9:14-15 For Him it was a matter of when believers

would fast, not if they would do it. Before you fast, decide the following up front:

• How long you will fast - one meal, one

day, a week, several weeks, forty days (Beginners should start slowly, building up to longer fasts.).

• The type of fast God wants you to undertake (such as water only, or water and juices; what kinds of juices you will drink and how often).

• What physical or social activities you will restrict.

• How much time each day you will devote to prayer and God's Word.

Making these commitments ahead of time will help you sustain your fast when physical temptations and life's pressures tempt you to abandon it.

The very foundation of fasting and prayer is repentance. Unconfessed sin will hinder your prayers. Here are several things you can do to prepare your heart:

• Ask God to help you make a

comprehensive list of your sins. • Confess every sin that the Holy Spirit

calls to your remembrance and accept God's forgiveness (1 John 1:9).

“If we confess our sins he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

• Seek forgiveness from all whom you have offended, and forgive all who have hurt you.

“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him so that your father in Heaven may forgive you your sins.”

Mark 11:25

“Forgive our sins, for we also forgive everyone who signs against us. And lead us not into

temptation” Luke 11:4

“So watch yourselves, if your brother sins, rebuke hm, and if he repents, forgive him. If he sins

against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says; I repent, forgive

him.” Luke 17:3-4

• Make restitution as the Holy Spirit leads you.

• Ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit according to His command in Ephesians 5:18 ;

“Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead be filled with the

Spirit.”

And His promise in 1 John 5:14-15

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us –whatever we ask-we know that we have what we asked

of him.”

• Surrender your life fully to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Master; refuse to obey your worldly nature (Romans 12:1-2).

“Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is

your Spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is –his good,

pleasing and perfect will.”

• Meditate on the attributes of God, His

love, sovereignty, power, wisdom, faithfulness, grace, compassion, and others.

“Within your temple God, we meditate on your unfailing love. Like your name, O God, your praise reaches to the ends of the earth; your right hand is filled with righteousness.”

Psalm 48:9-10

“In the Lord I take refuge. How then can you say to me; Flee like a bird to your mountain”.

Psalm 11:1

• Begin your time of fasting and prayer with an expectant heart (Hebrews 11:6).

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must

believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

• Do not underestimate spiritual

opposition. Satan sometimes intensifies

the natural battle between body and spirit.

“So I say, live by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the

sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful

nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.”

Galatians 5:16-17

Prepare, fasting requires reasonable precautions. Consult your physician first, especially if you take prescription medication or have a chronic ailment. Some people should never fast without professional supervision.

Physical preparation makes the drastic change in your eating routine a little easier so that you can turn your full attention to the Lord in prayer.

• Do not rush into your fast. • Prepare your body. Eat smaller meals

before starting a fast. Avoid high-fat and sugary foods.

• Eat raw fruit and vegetables for two days before starting a fast.

While you are fasting and praying you are abstaining from all solid foods and have begun to seek the Lord. Here are some helpful suggestions to consider:

• Avoid drugs, even natural herbal drugs and homeopathic remedies. Medication should be withdrawn only with your physician's supervision.

• Limit your activity. • Exercise only moderately. Walk one to

three miles each day if convenient and comfortable.

• Rest as much as your schedule will permit.

• Prepare yourself for temporary mental discomforts, such as impatience, crankiness, and anxiety.

• Expect some physical discomforts, especially on the second day. You may have fleeting hunger pains, dizziness, or the "blahs." Withdrawal from caffeine and sugar may cause headaches.

Physical annoyances may also include weakness, tiredness, or sleeplessness.

The first two or three days are usually the hardest. As you continue to fast, you will likely experience a sense of well-being both physically and spiritually. However, should you feel hunger pains, increase your liquid intake.

For maximum spiritual benefit, set aside ample time to be alone with the Lord. Listen for His leading. The more time you spend with Him, the more meaningful your fast will be.

Morning

• Begin your day in praise and worship. • Read and meditate on God's Word,

preferably on your knees.

• Invite the Holy Spirit to work in you to will and to do His good pleasure according to Philippians 2:13.

“For it is God who works in your to will and to act according to his good purpose.”

• Invite God to use you. Ask Him to show

you how to influence your world, your family, your church, your community, your country, and beyond.

• Pray for His vision for your life and empowerment to do His will.

Noon

• Return to prayer and God's Word. • Take a short prayer walk. • Spend time in intercessory prayer for

your community's and nation's leaders, for the world's unreached millions, for your family or special needs.

Evening

• Get alone for an unhurried time of "seeking His face."

• If others are fasting with you, meet together for prayer.

• Avoid television or any other distraction that may dampen your spiritual focus.

When possible, begin and end each day on your knees with your spouse for a brief time of praise and thanksgiving to God. Longer periods of time with our Lord in prayer and study of His Word are often better spent alone. A dietary routine is vital as well. One specialist in fasting and prayer - suggests a daily schedule and list of juices you may find useful and satisfying. Modify this schedule and the drinks you take to suit your circumstances and tastes.

5 a.m. - 8 a.m.

• Fruit juices, preferably freshly squeezed or blended and diluted in 50 percent distilled water if the fruit is acid. Apple, pear, grapefruit, papaya, watermelon, or other fruit juices are generally preferred. If you cannot do your own juicing, buy juices without sugar or additives.

10:30 a.m. – noon

• Fresh vegetable juice made from lettuce, celery, and carrots in three equal parts.

2:30 p.m. - 4 p.m

• Herb tea with a drop of honey. Avoid black tea or any tea with caffeine.

6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m

• Broth made from boiling potatoes, celery, and carrots with no salt. After boiling about half an hour, pour the water into a container and drink it.

• Drinking fruit juice will decrease your hunger pains and give you some natural sugar energy. The taste and lift will motivate and strengthen you to continue.

• The best juices are made from fresh watermelon, lemons, grapes, apples,

cabbage, beets, carrots, celery, or leafy green vegetables. In cold weather, you may enjoy a warm vegetable broth.

• Mix acidic juices (orange and tomato) with water for your stomach's sake.

• Avoid caffeinated drinks. And avoid chewing gum or mints, even if your breath is bad. They stimulate digestive action in your stomach

When your designated time for fasting is finished, you will begin to eat again. But how you break your fast is extremely important for your physical and spiritual well-being.

Begin eating gradually. Do not eat solid foods immediately after your fast. Suddenly reintroducing solid food to your stomach and digestive tract will likely have negative, even

dangerous, consequences. Try several smaller meals or snacks each day. If you end your fast gradually, the beneficial physical and spiritual effects will result in continued good health.

Here are some suggestions to help you end your fast properly:

• Break extended water fast with fruit

such as watermelon. • While continuing to drink fruit or

vegetable juices, add the following: First day: Add a raw salad. Second day: Add baked or boiled

potato, no butter or seasoning. Third day: Add a steamed vegetable. Thereafter: Begin to reintroduce your

normal diet. • Gradually return to regular eating with

several small snacks during the first few days. Start with a little soup and fresh fruit such as watermelon and cantaloupe. Advance to a few tablespoons of solid foods such as raw fruits and vegetables or a raw salad and baked potato.

If you sincerely humble yourself before the Lord, repent, pray, and seek God's face; if you consistently meditate on His Word, you will experience a heightened awareness of His presence (John 14:21).

“Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my father, and too will love him and

show myself to him”

The Lord will give you fresh, new spiritual insights. Your confidence and faith in God will be strengthened. You will feel mentally, spiritually, and physically refreshed. You will see answers to your prayers.

A single fast, however, is not a spiritual cure-all. Just as we need fresh infillings of the Holy Spirit daily, we also need new times of fasting before God. A 24-hour fast each week has been greatly rewarding too many Christians.

It takes time to build your spiritual fasting muscles. If you fail to make it through your first fast, do not be discouraged. You may have tried to fast too long the first time out, or your may need to strengthen your understanding and resolve. As soon as possible, undertake another fast until you do succeed. God will honour you for your faithfulness.

I encourage you to join me in fasting and prayer again and again until we truly experience revival in our homes, our churches, our beloved nation, and throughout the world.

How to Experience and maintain Personal Revival

1. The Holy Spirit to reveal any unconfessed sin in your life.

2. Seek forgiveness from all whom you have offended, and forgive all who have hurt you. Make restitution where God leads.

3. Examine your motives in every word and deed. Ask the Lord to search and cleanse your heart daily.

4. Ask the Holy Spirit to guard your walk against complacency and mediocrity.

5. Praise and give thanks to God continually in all ways on all days, regardless of your circumstances.

6. Refuse to obey your sinful nature.

“So I say, live by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not

do what you want.” Galatians 5:16-17

7. Surrender your life to Jesus Christ as

your Saviour and Lord. Develop utter dependence on Him with total submission and humility.

8. Study the attributes of God. 9. Hunger and thirst after righteousness.

“Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth.”

Matthew 5:6

10. Love God with all of your heart, soul, and mind.

Appropriate the continual fullness and control of the Holy Spirit by faith on the basis of God's command (Ephesians 5:18) and promise (1 John 5:14-15).

11. Read, study, meditate on, and memorize God's holy, inspired, inerrant Word daily. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another

with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude

in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16

12. Pray without ceasing.

“Pray continually” 1 Thessalonians 5:17

13. Fast and pray one 24-hour period

each week. Prayerfully consider becoming one of the two million Christians who will fast for forty days before the end of the year 2000.

14. Seek to share Christ daily as a way of life.

15. Determine to live a holy, godly life of obedience and faith.

16. Start or join a home or church Bible study group that emphasizes revival and a holy life.

Anyone can pray, but only those who walk in faith and obedience to Christ can expect to receive answers to their prayers. Contact with God begins when we receive Jesus into our lives as Saviour and Lord.

Praying with a clean heart is also vital to

successful prayer. We cannot expect God to answer our prayers if there is any unconfessed sin in our life or if we are harbouring an unforgiving spirit.

If I had cherished sin in my heart the Lord

would not have listened” Psalm 66:18

You have to make a quality decision to cut yourself off from the worldly system of belief, because the worldly system operates against God’s system and stand for financial independence. The best response to fear when you are passing through some financial problems is radical praise, rather than focusing on the problems, you have to shift your mind on the goodness of God. Praise and worship in times of trouble will usher you into the presence of God. Don’t stop rejoicing even when a debt collect just came to see you and left you that letter of demand or threat for a law suit and you feel like you are in a pressure cooker. One may say pastor,” I have been a faithful tither and give offering, why is this happening to me?” Sometimes God wants you to tithe your time as a volunteer in church activities and also make donations to orphans and old age homes. You might be in a situation today where the bank wants to repossess your house and car

Chapter Twelve

Unlocking Financial Breakthrough

Everyone was born with stars from

glory and spiritual hunters can cage, suppress

and hijack your star. In Mathew chapter 2 we

see a story of the wise men from the east that

saw and followed a star of the Lord Jesus

Christ.

“After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship

him." Mathew 2:1

Magi (singular 'magian', 'mage', 'magus',

'magusian', 'magusaean') is a term, used since

at least the 4th century BCE, to denote a

follower of Zoroaster, or rather, a follower of

what the Hellenistic world associated

Zoroaster with, which was – in the main – the

ability to read the stars, and manipulate the

fate that the stars foretold. So the wise men (MAGI) from the east were

magician’s people that were able to read stars

and fate of events to happen. When Jesus was

born the word came to the shepherds (It was

not a silent night as we sing it) Luke 2:8-18.

The shepherds were significant.

Although Jesus was 'the King of the Jews' the

lowliest of all workers - the shepherds, were

first to know of his birth.

chemical element with the symbol Au (Latin:

aurum) and atomic number 79. It is a highly

sought-after precious metal in jewellery, in

sculpture, and for ornamentation since the

beginning of recorded history. Gold was one of

the gifts the wise men from the east brought

and it was a symbol of royalty for the king.

Incense

Incense (Latin: incendere, "to burn") is

composed of aromatic biotic materials. It

releases fragrant smoke when burned. The

term incense refers to the substance itself,

rather than to the odor that it produces .When

Jesus was born this was one of the gift from

the magi and it represents wealth.

Myrrh

Myrrh is a reddish-brown resinous material, the dried sap of a number of trees, but primarily from Commiphora myrrha, native

to Yemen, Somalia, the eastern parts of Ethiopia and Commiphora gileadensis, native to Jordan .The word myrrh comes from the Hebrew murr or maror, which means "bitter." Myrrh was used as an embalming ointment and was used, up until about the 15th century, as penitential incense in funerals and cremations. The "holy oil" traditionally used by the Eastern Orthodox Church for performing the sacraments of chrismation and unction is traditionally scented with myrrh, and receiving either of these sacraments is commonly referred to as "receiving the Myrrh". Myrrh was also one of the gifts the wise men brought from the east.

When you have a colourful destiny, the enemy may monitor your progress and attempt to cast down demobilise your star.

Business Bewitchers

The bible tells us that we wrestle not

against flesh and blood but against

principalities in high places. Have you ever

forces of darkness that hinder and amputate

their lives in their success. They hit it high

spirits initiate a near success syndrome or

failure at the edge of breakthrough. Have you

and you are short listed as one of the final

two. One interviewer even assures you that

this job is yours , then a phone call rings to

One singer sung a song that everybody

needs somebody, as human beings most times

us fund or help with your project. People will

promise maybe before your wedding that they

will give you USD1 million and a few days

before the wedding they send you a text

message that they won’t be able. And the

enemy makes sure he uses the closest people

you love through the spirit of helper

manipulators that antagonise and manipulate

helpers.

They initiate panic situations where a

person who desperately needs help does not

receive anything. Those who promised as

helpers would break their promises so that

your progress is compromised.

These are spirits that program evil into people’s lives and give instructions on how to mess people’s lives with evil. They are in charge of sending evil inspirations and their victims waste their lives on unprofitable ventures, even when attempts are made to dissuade them.

I command every evil arrangement of sorcerers and magicians against your life be paralysed and Holy Ghost fire consume and burn to ashes every programme of darkness, in Jesus name.

Coffin Spirit

A lot of people cannot handle financial difficulties and that opens a door for coffin spirits to start bringing evil thoughts of ending

their lives. Their ancestral spirits that pursue victims relentlessly with thought of death, personal destruction, suicide and completely negative view of life. When plagued but these spirits, dreams of dead persons, funerals, coffins start to occur. Victims start walking like a time bomb ready to explode at any time.

Today in Jesus name I command any coffin spirit assigned towards your house hold to fall down and die.

Problem Expanders

These are spirits that prolong affliction and multiply sorrows. They are powers that take an inch of trouble and convert them to a mile and expand unprofitable business or personal situations. They make sure they cage a situation with backwardness and attack like a lion of death.

These are spirits that allows a person or business to progress for a while, then unforeseen circumstances arise which completely paralyse progress. The result is history of frustrations, confusion and profitless hard work and business transactions. Victims of progress arrester are always blamed for one thing of another.

Alas there is a solution; Jesus is the unstoppable author of progress. Today purpose in your heart and decree that no demonic obstacle that has been established against your progress shall prevail, let the Lord empower you with divine wisdom and favour, let every evil word spoken against your success, progress and breakthrough fall down and die, let the Lord hammer your matter into the minds of those who will help you so that they do not suffer from demonic loss of memory concerning your favour in Jesus name.

Poverty Activators

They activate poverty and wretchedness

by bringing bankruptcy in a profitable business venture. They introduce what we call “RAT” workers into the business so that when

Evil Observers

There are monitoring spirits who report your progress and operations to the dark world and sometimes use demonic watchers to keep the victims under observation. Have you

ever wondered some times when you are alone and you feel like you are being watched and hear funny voices or sounds that other don’t hear? That is a sign that evil observers are watching you. Some people discover that they are some moving objects in their bodies that cause discomfort; those are programmed material use by the evil one to trace their victims wherever they may be in this world. We thank the Lord there is a solution, let the Holy Spirit release blindness and acidic confusion of every evil observers, every plans against your life is neutralised in Jesus name.

Evil Makers

They mark people for destruction with invisible satanic ink which makes it easy to identify and locate victims. These marks can be observed by occultist and evil observers.

We thank God that in Ezekiel 9 we are shown that the Lord is able to send his angels to mark you so that you do not die and that your business is not marked for death. Today I command every mark of:
