Announcements
Today is Meatless Monday at Sutherland. All
the vegan and vegetarian items are now
indicated on our Cafeteria menu. The caf is
serving Cheesy Peasy Macaroni today. For
only $3.50, grab a delicious bowl of mac and
cheese that’s better for the environment, for
the animals and your health. We will be
drawing for a free meal from the Cafeteria. To
enter the draw, visit our table in front of the
caf today and answer some trivia!
MEATLESS MONDAY CONTEST
Your Grad Portfolios are due. Bring your Grad
Trans work to B204 today for feedback so you
can submit your final Portfolio at tomorrow’s
Grad Trans seminar in the Theatre. Yes,
tomorrow’s Grad Seminar is the last one for
the Class of 2017.

Here at Sutherland on Wednesday, April 5
and 12. $12 a dozen. All proceeds will be
donated to the Women’s Shelter. Come and

DIVERCITY CLUB MEMBERS
Soup for Socks will return this Friday, offering
baked mac and cheese with salad, only $3 for
a scrumptious meal.

The Educational Facility Managers Association of BC
is offering $1000 bursaries to grads who are the son
or daughter of a school district employee in the
maintenance area. Deadline April 30.
The North Shore Orthodontics Scholarship is offering
a $250 scholarship. Deadline May 17.
The Paul Pollhammer Referee Scholarship is for a
student who has made significant contribution to
Youth Soccer Refereeing. Deadline May 17.
National Union of Public and General Employees
offers 5 scholarships to children, grandchildren and
foster children of NUPGE, each for $1500. Essay
required. Deadline July 7.

Grade 12s: The following are newly-announced
scholarship and bursary opportunities:
Charlene Reaveley Children’s Charity Society
Bursary is offered to students who have lost a parent
and/or sibling and who exemplify involvement in the
community and/or volunteer work. Deadline April 15.
Public Guardian and Trustee Educational Assistance
Bursary is for students who are former permanent
ward of the Province of BC and planning to study at
the post-secondary level between September 2017
and August 2018. Deadline April 15.
