1 SYSTEM ENVIRONMENT

2 INSTALLATION

2.1 Server Installation Double click DSSServer_V1.0_build_20090212_ENG, now you can see an interface is shown as in Figure 2-1. Please click next to continue.

You can see an interface is shown as in Figure 2-2. You can click change button to modify installation path. Please click next button to continue.

System pops up the following interface. See Figure 2-3. Please click next button to continue.

After the installation, system automatically goes to configuration interface. See Figure 2-5.

You can click finish button to exit installation right now. But our suggestion is to go on to complete the installation. Please refer to the following sheet.

Configuration Item Function Auto start when system started. DSS auto starts after the server booted up.

Server IP Input server IP such as 192.168.0.1 General

DMZ address If the server is in a LAN and uses router DMZ for internet user, you need to set DMZ IP.

CMS CMS listening port CMS working port. Default value is 9000. DMS DMS listening port DMS working port. Default value is 9200.

RTSP port of MTS Working RTSP port of MTS. Default value is 9100.

RTP port value section of MTS

RTP port of MTS. Default value ranges from 10000 to 30000. The port value shall be more (or at least equal to) 2000. MTS

UDP length UDP data group length. Default value is 1400BYTE. Recommend value 1400 for LAN. Usually it is 500 for narrow bandwidth.

RTSP port of SS RTSP of SS. Default value is 9320. RTP port value section of SS

Default value is30000. The value shall be more than RTP port value of MTS.

RTP

There are two options: UDP/TCP. Recommend UDP when the bandwidth is good, the transmission efficiency is high. TCP is suitable for narrow bandwidth, the video quality is good.

Recode file length. The file package interval, the default value is 30 minutes.

SS

Storage media

The media to storage recorded file. Please do the map first and make sure you have created or directly use the root directory. You can use add or remove function to modify. Our suggestion is you’d better delete the default

path and create your own storage path. You need to set ordinary recorded HDD space and alarm recorded HDD space according to the device configuration.

After the setup, you can see an interface is shown as in Figure 2-6. Please click O.K to continue.

2.2 Client Installation Double click DSSClient_V1.0_build_20090212_ENG, you can see an interface is shown as in Figure 2-10. Please click next button to continue.

Now you can see an interface is shown as in Figure 2-11. Default installation path is: C:\Program Files\DSSClient. You can click change button to modify installation path. Please click next button to continue.

3 SHORTCUT CONFIGURATION GUIDE

3.1 Preparation Please check the following items:

PC and encode device connection is O.K. DSS service has booted up. DSS service server and encode device connection is O.K. There is no other software or management platform in the encode device.

3.2 Configuration Double click the DSS manager icon in the desktop to go to the log in interface.

Input the default manager account (system/123456) and the authentication code to log in. Create organization structure in the organization management section. Create manger right group and operator group in group management section. Create manager or operator in the user management section. Add device in the device management section and add it to corresponding right group. Create storage centre plan.

Now, you can use the newly established operator account in the DDS Client to view! Slight difference may be found in the user interface. All the designs and software are subject to change without prior written notice. Please visit our website for more information.
