1. Long-term capital protection

Our primary objective is to protect the value of your wealth,

to ensure your wealth grows at least in line with inflation, so

that your wealth does not shrink in real terms due to the

adverse effect of inflation.

In South Africa, we expect the long-term official CPI

inflation rate to be 6%. However the inflation rate

experienced by our aggregate wealth clients is closer to

10% (CPI+4%). We must therefore ensure our client’swealth achieves an annualised return of 10% over the long

term, after fees.
