“Broken Mirrors”

The Song…

The song is called “Broken Mirrors” and is the eighth track on Rise Against fifth album “Endgame”It’s fast paced, loud, with an aggressive tone and its just under four minutes. This would allow us to us to use lots of fast takes throughout the song.

Why this song? We both agreed on using the song because we like that genre of music and have seen numerous videos in the best with intriguing narrative and an entertaining performance aspect by the band.

We chose 3 other song ideas which were • Rise Against –

of the Black• Guns ‘N’ Roses –

Nightrain We didn’t pick any of the other songs because we felt that we could be more creative with the narrative of the song we chose

Our Narrative…The overall narrative is about reflecting on the past, accepting the present and visualising the future.A guy who visualises his past, present and future selves in three different mirrors.

Band details

So far we have one person confirmed to be the drummer, and possibly one person for the lead guitar, also if we cant find anyone else, one of us will be the singer

Band name. we each went away and came up with 5 band names each to choose from. But in the end we went with

ShotsWe will be using a variety of fast paced takes. Including • Close ups • Mid shots• Group shots• Focusing on instruments• Tracking • Over the shoulder• Low angle for the band • High angle for the narrative

Location(s)• Dark drab empty

space, such as a garage

• Possibly abandoned buildings, to cause mayhem, capable of trashing

• We could use a forest also, because it’s isolated and dreary, and fits with the over all mood of the video

CostumesFor the band, we were thinking: • generally drab clothing, • no nonsense clothing,• possibly include band t-shirts• , as well as dark jeans

For the narrative:• For the main character we would use, angst dark

clothes to symbolise his past self• For his present self, we would use generic

clothes, fairly mundane• For his future, we would star with a black morph

suit, to symbolise the unknown future• Also a suit, dirty clothes to show his possible

demise or his possible success

We will use well organised friends, who can play the instruments

It will be filmed in the drama hall, possibly the forest and the garage
