Semester Developmental Counseling – review performance from the previous semester and develop goals for the upcoming term.

Currently: Latest APFT score of 219; Current GPA of 2.2 in Electrical Engineering major; shows strong interest in Political Science; tried out for UCF baseball team; Interested in branching Aviation; occasional unexcused absences from PT; feels as though PT isn’t challenging enough sometimes; enjoys labs and FTX’s; feels uneasy about leading other cadets due to lack of experience; part-time job at Publix; no extracurricular activities

Goals: Improve APFT score to 240 for fall, 260 for spring, and 280 for LDAC; maintain a 3.5 GPA or better for fall, spring and summer semesters; improve PT attendance with no unexcused absences; increase the amount of extracurricular activities; increase amount of exposure to leadership opportunities in labs and FTX’s

Actions to take: Speak with academic advisor before the end of the week to discuss possibly pursuing a Political Science degree; volunteer to start an Army ROTC IM baseball team for more extracurricular opportunities; PT with RC on Mondays and Fridays for a more challenging PT regiment; after IM season tryout for the UCF baseball team again; join drill team and volunteer to lead PT sessions to increase exposure to leadership roles; turn in bi-weekly progress reports to ensure you are maintaining a good GPA; volunteer to be a team leader during labs and FTX’s when not in a key leadership role
