Hello Ballers!
Although Summer is beginning to close in, don't forget about your final exams! Congratulations on completing your AP/IP exams. Please remember that service never ends! You should continue to serve even over the sum-mer. Continue to participate in Club and Division events! Utilize the summer to plan for the year and make sure to plan PROACTIVELY, not REACTIVELY. Keep up the great work on the 3-2-1 plan! This means that you should have 3 service projects, 2 fundraisers, and 1 division event per club per month! With the two fundraisers, at least one should go towards service and the other event can go towards saving money for Fall Rally North in October and District Convention 2016 in April! If you're passionate about fundraising, I challenge you to join me from now until October! This challenge is not easy, but will be rewarding for you and for those positively im-pacted by the Pediatric Trauma Program. I challenge you from now until October to save all $5 bills you come across and put it into a save jar for you to reopen during Fall Rally North. If $5 is too much, save every 25 cent coin you come across and put it into a save jar! It's the little things that make a large impact and this jar will even-tually accumulate into money that can save lives! I challenge you to make that difference and be that difference. Get involved and BEE active!
Don't forget that Officer Training Conference is coming up! This is a MANDATORY event for all officers, but members are welcome to attend. Relay for life is also just around the corner so be prepared for an overnight event. Good luck with all of your finals and make sure to strive for your goals! It's as easy as 3-2-1!

Novato Green and Clean Day
I was actually happy about this event, even though we were just cleaning Pioneer Park out. We got to see what was hiding beneath the scattered trash along the whole park. True nature. We picked trash from bottles to scraps of candy wrappers. Since our Kiwanis advisors were there along with us, we dug up the weeds with them. By the end of the event, the park looked great! There was no soda cans on the tables or wrappers in the playground park an-ymore. It was amazing that we could clean out this park and make it look spotless again.

Blue/Gold Dinner
On the 1st of March the boy scouts rented the clock tower for a luncheon. These “dinners” are to commemorate outstand-ing scouts with their badges and move them up the ranks. However, sometime they are also to commemorate those who will be leaving the scouts with a certain honored, melancholy. As we almost always do, the volunteers who attended setup the event, from streamers to table covers. We also put out the food, wrapped utensils in tissue paper, and gave out cakes to be decorated and announced awards for each of the scout decorated cakes. After the speeches and awards were handed out and the food had vanished along with them the Key Club volunteers helped tear off table covers, return tables and chairs to their places. Though carrying heavy objects around small energy brimmed children wasn’t and isn’t the most placating action, this event was a success-ful one both for the scouts and the volunteers.

March of Dimes
My first time volunteering at the March of Dimes event turned out to be very fun and exciting. Although I did get lost, after an hour of searching and looking around I finally was able to make it to the venue. When I got to the actual venue I was very confused, since it was my first time volunteering at a public event. Luckily I got the help from my club officers and members. It was very ironic when I got to the checkpoint I was working at because that was the place I got lost! When working at the check-point, it was very fun to be able to cheer the walkers or runners on. Even though I personally think my cheering wasn't a big help. But it is okay because I was able to be a huge help by passing out water, refilling snacks and all that jazz. All in all I was able to have an amazing experience though I had that rough patch in the beginning. I met a few new people which I now talk to which is fantastic! My first experience at the March of Dimes was a blast and hopefully I am able to go to next year's March of Dimes event!

team all working towards a greater division, amaz-
ing community service, and a better experience for
the members that they serve! This month is featur-

Hello Ballers! I am the Division 8 News Editor for the 2015-
2016 Term! I make these things; what your reading now! I
turn in articles and visuals to the District so our division will
be showcased. I also run the Division website and basically
do anything that involves a computer and advertising about
Key Club and Division 8!

Make sure to check out next month’s
Newsletter to learn all about the Presi-
dent’s of the clubs in Division 8 and also
the Division Coordinators!!
Last term I served as the Lt. Governor which was one of the
most amazing experiences I have ever had. I have a huge pas-
sion for Key Club and community service and absolutely love
everything about Division 8. I am currently a Junior at
Vanden High School. I love meeting and getting to know
new people! In my free time I like to play guitar, crochet, and
come up with new graphics. Also since my sister lives in
South Korea I have a liking towards Korean culture and all
the music and dramas that come with it! Overall, I love trying
new things and expanding my knowledge of the world!
If you ever have any new ideas or critiques about the newslet-
ter or website please share them with me! I love to collaborate
and share ideas with others, I am always working towards a
better division and improvements on community service!
EA EA EA --- simran kaur, simran kaur, simran kaur, vanden Hey Ballers! My name is Simran Kaur, and I am one of
your Executive Assistants for the 2015-2016 Key Club term! I
am super excited to have been accepted into this position
and I’m excited to see what this new year has in store for us!
Outside of Key Club, I like long walks on the beach, long-
boarding around my neighborhood, and chillin’ with my ho-
mies. I love ice cream and Chinese food, but not together. I
also love talking on the phone, so call me anytime!
I am in charge of six out of the 12 schools in our division-
Will C Wood, Dixon, Mare Island Tech, Vanden, Fairfield,
and Armijo. I am a liaison between our Lieutenant Governor
and the clubs in our division, and I promote upcoming divi-
sion events to the officers of my six clubs and help with the
overall function of the division.

EA EA EA --- Jack Rattanasith, Jack Rattanasith, Jack Rattanasith, Rodriguez As an Executive assistant, it is my job to help the Lieuten-ant Governor in any way possible. This includes contacting the schools that we are in charge of, planning events, giving presentations, etc. I encourage participation in events, both in my school's club, and others at division wide events. I also ensure that things flow smoothly at events and allow anyone to contact me for any questions. I am lucky to have another EA to collaborate with, it makes planning things a lot easier!
I would consider myself to be a pretty swell person outside of
Key Club. I enjoy hanging out with my
friends, long romantic walks to refrigerator
( or any place with good food ) and getting to
know new people. I am also Junior Repre-
sentative for my local Key club at Rodriguez.
It is a much smaller role than EA, and mainly
just consists of keeping all Juniors in the club
active and happy with what is going on. Alt-
hough I don't nearly play as much as I used
to, I still enjoy playing Pokemon with random
people across the world in hopes of being the
very best, like no one ever was.
AND TOGETHER WE MAKE UP
Hello Ballers!
I hope all of you got through AP, SAT, and all the other
stressful tests! Finals are coming up soon, which means the
end of the school year. The year went by so quick and soon
another one will be right in front of us. Never forget to stop
serving over the summer! Use this extra time as an oppor-
tunity to plan out the next school year and also fundraise to
fund members for events like RTC and DCON.
I hope that you enjoyed the Newsletter this month, and
always remember to come to me with any ideas that you may
have! I am super excited for the summer, and I hope to see
all of you at all the Division events! Remember to send in
those articles and visuals by the 10th of every month! Never
stop domin8ing.
With Love,
Amara Alcayde
