They are prepared and well organised. They are writing a blog about their experience. Amir: Saturday 10 th June 4 p.m. We’re in Scotland. Becky’s dad is driving and Becky, her mum, Theo and I are in the car. The challenge is to climb 3 three mountains in 24 hours. First, Ben Nevis in Scotland (1344 metres). Then Scafell Pike in England (978 metres). After that, Snowdon in Wales (1085 metres). And can we finish in 24 hours? Becky: Saturday 10 th June 4.45 p.m. We’re arriving at Glen Nevis near Ben Nevis. We’ve got our rucksacks, warm clothes and boots on. Theo: Saturday 10 th June 5 p.m. We’re starting now. It’s hard work! Amir: Saturday 10 th June 8.05 p.m. We’re at the top 4 of Ben Nevis. There’s a fantastic view 5 . Becky’s mum is taking photos. We’re eating our sandwiches, but we’re in a hurry because Becky’s dad is waiting for us in the car. Theo: Saturday 10 th June 10.15 p.m. We’re in the car. I’m tired and I want to sleep! Scafell Pike next! Amir: Sunday 11 th June 1.25 a.m. I can’t sleep! We’re passing Glasgow, I think. Becky’s dad is listening to a Whitney Houston CD. He’s also singing. It’s terrible! Theo: Sunday 11 th June 4.30 a.m. Becky, her mum, and Amir are sleeping, and Becky’s dad is driving. We’re in England now, and we can start climbing Scafell Pike in about 20 minutes. Wake up Becky and Theo, it’s time for breakfast! We can eat in the car before we start. Becky: Sunday 11 th June 7.00 a.m. Good morning from the top of Scafell Pike. It’s a beautiful day. We’re sitting on the rocks 6 and we’re drinking a cup of hot coffee. My mum is taking photos, again 7 ! We can’t stop. Dad’s waiting. Theo: Sunday 11 th June 8.30 a.m. We’re in the car again and we’re driving to Wales. My legs hurt 8 and Amir’s feet hurt, but we’re OK. Becky’s mum is OK, but she’s tired. Becky’s sleeping. Theo: Sunday 11 th June 10 a.m. We’re passing Liverpool. Amir and I are eating sandwiches and Becky’s… sleeping! Amir: Sunday 11 th June 12.15 p.m. I’m sitting in the car. I’m looking out of the window. The view is fantastic. We’re in North Wales now. We can start climbing Snowdon in about forty minutes. Becky: Sunday 11 th June 12.50 p.m. Oh no, it’s raining 9 and it’s cold. Theo: Sunday 11 th June 3.30 p.m. We’re at the top of Snowdon. We’ve got 90 minutes to finish the challenge. I can’t write because it’s really cold. Come on! It’s time to go. Amir: Sunday 11 th June 4.45 p.m. We’re running to the car. I can see Becky’s dad. 23 hours and 45 minutes. We’re winning 10 ! DDThree Peaks1 Challenge2

Three teens, Amir, Becky and Theo, are doing the challenge. They are prepared and well organised. They are writing a blog about their experience.

Amir: Saturday 10th June 4 p.m. We’re in Scotland. Becky’s dad is driving and Becky, her mum, Theo and I are in the car. The challenge is to climb3 three mountains in 24 hours. First, Ben Nevis in Scotland (1344 metres). Then Scafell Pike in England (978 metres). After that, Snowdon in Wales (1085 metres). And can we finish in 24 hours?
