Extensive experience with various compressors, hydraulic systems, guns and controllers and all associated towed equipment. Planning and execution of efficient maintenance programs, and the supervision of the source mechanical department.US B1/OCS visa valid to 2020.
Experience
March 2012 to April 2015 - Chief Mechanic for Seabird Exploration. Responsibilities are operation and maintenance of vessel source and towing systems. Including hydraulic systems, handling equipment, basic electric fault finding and in sea equipment. Also responsible for the planning and execution of efficient maintenance programs, and the supervision of the source mechanical department. Chief Mechanic on 2-D vessel Northern Explorer.
2008 to Sep 2011 - Chief Mechanic for Bergen Oilfield Services. Responsibilities are operation and maintenance of vessel source and towing systems. Including high pressure air compressors, hydraulic systems, handling equipment, basic electric fault finding and in sea equipment. Also responsible for the planning and execution of efficient maintenance programs, and the supervision of the mechanical department. Chief Mechanic on 2-D (BOS Atlantic) and 3-D multi streamer vessels.
2006 to 2008 - Chief Mechanic for Multiwave ( CGG Veritas), Bergen with CGGI contract. Working on EM SBL , 2-D and 3-D multi-streamer seismic vessels, Rem Angler, Pacific Titan and CGG Venturer.
1995-2006 – Chief Mechanic / Senior Mechanical Engineer for Fugro Aberdeen. Operating on 2-D, 3-D seismic, ROV, AUV vessels Geo Surveyor, Geo Searcher, Geo Prospector, Fugro Meridian, Geo Arctic and Skandi Inspector
1994-1995 - Maintenance Supervisor for Geoconsult. Responsible for general maintenance of diamond drilling tool, media separation units, power and hydraulic systems on board diamond mining vessel Geo Master based in Cape Town.
