INTERNATIONAL STUDENT APPLICATION & ADMISSION INFORMATION
Applications accepted for Fall and Spring semesters.
Fall: March 1 – July 1 Spring: October 1 – December 1
International Students can not apply on-line. Submit all materials to our office in person, in the mail or via
e-mail in PDF format. Our office is located in Building #11/Gym 2, Room #204. All documents submitted belong
to Cypress College and cannot be returned.
Initial Attendance:
1. Submit a non-refundable application fee of $40.00 (cash, personal check in U.S. dollars, U.S. bank money
order, or go to cypressapplicationfee.flywire.com for online payment). Applications will be processed after
the application fee has been paid.
2. Please complete and print the PDF International Student Application. Hand-written applications will
not be accepted.
3. Submit official secondary education (high school) transcripts in English OR GED certification if applicable.
Submit official transcripts in English from any colleges/universities attended.Please send to: International Students Program, Cypress College, 9200 Valley View St., Cypress, CA 90630
4. Complete the Financial Support Statement (see page 3 of application) and submit Bank Certification (must
be less than 6 months old).
5. Copy of valid passport required for new students applying from overseas.
6. English Proficiency must be demonstrated by fulfilling one of the following:
*TOEFL (www.toefl.org) -- minimum of 61 (iBT). Cypress College school code is 4104.
*IELTS (www.ielts.org) -- minimum score of Band 5.
*iTEP (www.itepexam.com) -- minimum score of Level 3.5.
*PTE Academic (www.pearsonpte.com) – minimum score of 44.
*Certificate of required ESL Level completion (must be less than one year old) from any of our partner
language schools.
*Previous college-level English course work from an U.S. college/university (transcript required).
7. Applicants under 18 must also complete the Cypress College Consent to Treat Minor Patient form.
Transfers: Students who are attending another college, high school, or language school in the United States and
wish to transfer to Cypress College must submit the following materials in addition to the materials listed above:
1. Copy of your I-20 Form, Visa, I-94 and Passport.
2. Completed Transfer Eligibility Form signed by an official from the college you are currently attending.

application is complete and accurate. I understand that I am not eligible for financial aid through the college, nor will I be
issued a work permit during my first year of studies. I further understand that I am required to enroll and complete 12
units each semester (fall and spring) with a minimum grade point average of 2.0.
