JOB APPLICANT REGISTRATION FORM
SMA Academic Placement Services (APS) provides a bridge between job applicants and hiring universities. The Director of APS manages hiring institutions' job listings and job applicants' curriculum vitas, which are shared online through Dropbox™.
APS offers a variety of services and benefits: 1) registration on or before October 1 is free; 2) curriculum vita may be posted to Dropbox™ and made available to registered hiring institutions; 3) access to job listings posted by registered hiring institutions; 4) interview venue for on-site meetings; 5) message board for viewing job listing on-site (for hiring institutions selecting this service); 6) communicate with hiring institutions through message center.
To participate in APS, job applicants must be a SMA member; conference attendance is not required. Membership registration/conference registration form is attached for your convenience.
The APS interview room is available on the following dates/times:
Wednesday, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Thursday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

Details, Requirements, and Restrictions
MEMBERSHIP ONLY Membership includes annual dues, voting privileges (except student
members), SMA Newsletters, and Call for Papers. Regular Membership is available to SMA Fellows, faculty,
administrative, and business members. Student Membership is available to active graduate and
undergraduate students. Membership runs from November through October. Membership dues
are not refundable or pro-rated.
CONFERENCE REGISTRATION Conference registration includes all benefits of membership as stated
above PLUS access to all conference sessions, conference materials, conferences receptions, and Awards Luncheon. Visit the SMA website (http://marketingadvances.org/displaycommon.cfm?an=6) for details.
At least one author of a conference paper or presentation and all participants of a panel session must attend the conference and present the work for inclusion in the SMA Conference Proceedings and Conference Program. Submission details are available on the SMA website (http://marketingadvances.org/displaycommon.cfm?an=1&subarticlenbr=24).
Registration types:o Regular Registration is available to SMA Fellows, faculty,
administrative, and business members.o Student Registration is available to active graduate and
undergraduate students.o Complimentary Registration is available to winners and

o Doctoral Consortium registration is available to PhD students and requires nomination by faculty member and acceptance to the program; doctoral consortium participants receive all benefits of student conference attendees (no additional cost) and the two-day doctoral consortium experience (Wednesday - Thursday). o Guest Attendee is intended for individuals such as a spouse/partner who attends the conference with a registered attendee. This registration is not available to conference attendees, authors, or presenters.
SEM WORKSHOP Pre-conference workshops are available to registered conference
attendees and subject to additional fee. Registration is required and space in limited – acceptance on first-
come-first-serve basis. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) workshop is a one-day
interactive session presented by Dr. Joe Hair and Dr. Barry Babin. Participation requires a personal computer with AMOS software. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
CASE STUDY RESEARCH WORKSHOP Pre-conference workshops are available to registered conference
attendees and subject to additional fee. Registration is required and space in limited – acceptance on first-
come-first-serve basis. Quantitative and Qualitative Case Study Research workshop is a
one-day hands-on session presented by Dr. Arch Woodside. This workshop includes training in constructed theory, collecting data, doing data analysis, and writing scholarly papers that apply QN and QL case study research methods. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
