Discover the Natural Park of Delta de l’Ebre, a wonderful area not far from Barcelona. Cycling between endless rice fields and fruit trees, you can enjoy the spectacular landscapes with the flora and fauna of this southernmost area of Catalonia! The river high salinity makes it a incredibly fertile land with a varied and interesting vegetation. Each year 95 bird species nest in the Ebre river delta, although it is home to another 360 species of birds during their migrations.
Among these incredible landscapes you can relax on long beaches, living the calm of the environment and enjoy extraordinary gastronomy that has made this region famous: rice (arròs a banda, arròs negre, paella...) shellfish and fish.
Always accompanied by a local guide (residing in the territory), this tour includes a backup car (for carrying luggage to and from the hotels and equipped with a little shop), with accommodation and meals as well as transfers and tours included in the price. You just enjoy the landscape and the environment and we provide you with your best holidays ever!

DAY 1. Arrival Barcelona Airport or Reus Airport – Tortosa.
Arrival at Barcelona airport or Reus airport. Meet and greetings. Transfer to Tortosa. Trial and
adjustment of bicycles. Guided tour (on bike) to the city. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 2. Tortosa – Amposta – Deltebre (44.02 km)
Leaving from Tortosa, the route leads to Amposta, where a bike tour will start visiting the Museum of
Terres de l’Ebre. Highly interesting to understand what will be seen in the coming days. But Amposta
hides a lot of surprises... After lunch, the route will leave the Ebre river and head to l’Encanyissada
lake, to the bird observatory point, near the casa de fusta (“wooden house”), a little museum about
the birds in this area. Finally, Sant Jaume d’Enveja and Deltebre, where you will have a cosy
accommodation in a nice hostel.
DAY 3. Deltebre – Riumar – Deltebre (53.43 km)
Today, the route first heads to an important port of shellfish and, as an option, you can go to the
Punta del Fangar, the last point at north of Delta. The long beach is really amazing. After some rice
fields and canals the route reaches Riumar, the end of the Ebre River, where you can have lunch.
Then back to Deltebre, cycling behind the river. At last, you can go to the l’Ecomuseu to appreciate
the evolution of this Delta. Dinner and accommodation at the hostel.
DAY 4. Deltebre – L’Eucaliptus – Deltebre (60.20 km)
Following the river, down by the sea, to l’Illa de Buda (“Buda’s Island”). We can see many kinds of
birds, several species of plants and flowers in a surrounding of wetlands, lakes and canals. You can
even relax on the Eucaliptus Beach before lunch. In the afternoon you will cycle by the Barra del
Trabucador (a large sandy stick that connects the southernmost tip of the arm with the land). At the
end you’ll be able to enjoy some Salines (salt lakes) before returning to the La Tancada, a nice
wetland. To finish, Deltebre for dinner and accommodation.
DAY 5. Deltebre – Sant Carles de la Ràpita – Deltebre (54.39 km) En route again to visit Poblenou del Delta, a young village of fishermen built less than 60 years ago.
Sant Carles de la Ràpita is a fishing village, well-known for its seafood cuisine... and that is precisely
where we’ll be we eating. After that, you`ll be visiting some wetlands like Ullals del Tronc, Solsits and,
obviously, l’Encanyissada, the nicest marsh that you have seen from the other side. Dinner and
accommodation in Deltebre.
DAY 6. Deltebre – Camarles – l’Aldea – Tortosa (49.73 km)
Today the route goes back to Tortosa. We’ll start heading to the Bassa de les Olles, a nice place to
enjoy the magnificent environment. Then we’ll continue to Camarles and l’Aldea, where you will have
lunch. Along the route, you will come across some old towers and castles, the legacy of a period of
many battles against the pirates. And finally a re-encounter with the same cosy accommodation we
had on the first day.
DAY 7. Tortosa – Reus or Barcelona airport.
After breakfast transfer to Barcelona airport or Reus airoport to take your flight.
