SCARF Using 3.50mm needles, cast on 104 sts loosely.1st row (RS) - Knit.2nd row - Knit.Beg lace patt - 1st row (RS) - K3, * yfwd, K2, sl 1, K1, psso, K2tog, K2, yfwd, K1, rep from * to last 2 sts, K2.2nd row - K2, purl to last 2 sts, K2.3rd row - K3, * K1, yfwd, sl 1, K1, psso, K2, K2tog, yfwd, K2, rep from * to last 2 sts, K2.4th row - K2, purl to last 2 sts, K2.Rows 1 to 4 incl form lace patt.Cont in lace patt until enough yarn remains to work last 2 rows and cast off, working last row on WS.Next row - Knit.Next row - Knit.Cast off loosely knitways.Sew in all ends neatly towards centre of scarf, rather than along side edges for a neater finish.

BEANIEUsing 3.50mm needles and Merino Soft DK, cast on 115 sts.1st row (RS) - K2, * P1, K1, rep from * to last st, K1.2nd row - K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end.Rep 1st and 2nd rows until work measures 6 cm from beg, ending with a 2nd row and dec 5 sts evenly across last row = 110 sts. Break off yarn.Using Algasoie for rem, work 6 rows purl fabric (1 row P, 1 row K).Work 6 rows stocking st (1 row K, 1 row P).Last 12 rows form patt throughout.Cont in patt until work measures 35 cm from beg, working last row on WS.Next row - * K2tog, rep from * to end = 55 sts.Break off yarn leaving a long end. Run end though rem sts, draw up tightly and fasten off securely.Using mattress st seam, join side edges together to form centre back seam.
