Lip-lockedLearn the secrets to this summer’s hottest lip trends.

Last spring the bright lip set the stage for color’s bold yet beautiful comeback. Everywhere you looked lips were saturated in vivid hues ranging from fuchsia to tangerine and candy apple red. A stunning, vibrant lip color became the must-have beauty product for 2012 and from the looks of the spring 2013 runways; the bright lip trend hasn’t lost any steam. For spring 2013, lips are the hottest thing in beauty.

As the temperatures continue to soar, you’ll fi nd yourself yearning for the perfect seasonal bright lip color to take you through the summer in style:

• This spring the bright lip trend has been amplified. Think neon, high-wattage brights that are highly pigmented with major color payo . A little dab of this season’s lip colors goes a long way.

• Another important fact to the new bright trend for spring is the finish. Instead of the cream or satin finishes that reigned supreme last spring, designers opted for the matte look which creates

a similarly striking statement. A matte finish is a great way to go bold without going overboard. It’s chic, sophisticated yet still playful and fun.

• In order to balance out the use of a bright lip, it’s ideal to go nude or neutral on the eyes and cheeks. A bright lip shouldn’t have to compete with a bright eye and/or cheek.

• Choosing the right shade can seem like a chore. No worries! Use your undertone as the guideline for your custom color palette. If you have a cool complexion, opt for bright bubblegum pinks, neon peaches and classic reds as they pop beautifully against skin with blue undertones. If you have a warm complexion, vivid fuchsias, bright corals and orange-reds are the best options to complement your yellow undertones.

• With lips being the focal point for spring, it’s extremely important to keep your lips smooth, healthy and free of dry skin. Before applying the ultimate bright lip color, soften lips with an exfoliating scrub or primer made for the delicate lip area. Next prepare the lips with an emollient lip balm preferably one without shine or gloss.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Milani Resident Make-up Artist Jayson Sanchez

Brows Go Big for SpringOne of the biggest beauty trends for spring highlights your most important facial feature – brows. Strong brows were featured prominently in several spring 2013 fashion shows from New York to Milan. Jayson Sanchez, the Milani Resident Make-up Artist, gives Reinventing Beauty the latest tips on how to achieve a fuller brow with ease.

Reinventing Beauty: What is the best product to help achieve this trend on their own at home?

Jayson Sanchez: Try using the Milani Brow Fix Brow Kit or Milani Brow Tint Pen Felt-Tip Brow Color. You’ll fi nd yourself right on trend with one of these great products!

RB: Does this trend work for everyone?

JS: Make-up is all about having fun and being creative. Experiment! Don’t be afraid! It takes just a little make-up remover for you to restart and try again!

RB: What is the di erence between using a brow pencil and a brow powder to fi ll-in brows?

JS: A brow pencil gives you medium to full coverage and has a tendency to look more “subtle”. Brow powder has a tendency to look more “defi ned” and “dramatic”! Of more importance is how you use the product and how much pressure is applied when touching the skin. Stronger pressure = stronger e ect. Soft pressure = softer e ect.

RB: How do you maintain your brows throughout the day and/or evening?

JS: As a professional makeup artist, I always begin by applying a slight amount of eye shadow primer (such as the Milani Eyeshadow Primer) directly onto the eyebrow. This allows the product to last longer and prevents it from shifting or moving.

RB: What are some brow no-no’s?

JS: Here is one sure-fi re tip: The thinner your brow, the older you appear. The thicker your brow, the younger you’ll look.

On the heels of a vibrant tangerine fueled 2012, the color that is set to dominate fashion, beauty and home design is Emerald Green. “Emerald was chosen for 2013 because it is the color of balance and harmony, enhancing one’s sense of well-being and inspiring insight and clarity. Emerald is a lively, radiant and lush green.

Because of its association with much desired jewels, the perception of Emerald is sophisticated and luxurious. As it has throughout history, multi-faceted Emerald continues to sparkle and fascinate,” explains Leatrice Eiseman, the Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute. Nail ArtNail art and

design has quickly become a very

important part of one’s overall beauty

look. How you wear your nails says

a lot about your personal sense of

style and with this season’s in ux of

trends, there is no shortage of options. Whether you’re the traditional type or like to walk on the

wild side, check out these hot nail

trends for summer and beyond.

1Geometric Designs The art of geometric nail design has taken

the beauty world by storm. From patterns that dazzle to chevron stripes that sizzle, the use of bold shapes in contrasting shades is a major must-try. Geometric designs bring attention to the nail and are a great way to incorporate the color-blocking trend into your nail design. Opt for striking contrast shades in electric colors such as; cobalt blue and violet purple and watch heads turn.

2Fancy French The classic French manicure is a simple

yet chic way to wear your nails, however this summer, there is a new twist on the old favorite. Switch up the usual white or light cream tips and go for a bold contrasting shade instead. Think Kelly green and fuchsia or electric purple or baby blue. Once dry, pair with a clear polish for a style that makes a sensational statement.

3Pretty in Prints Just as in fashion, animal prints somehow

fi nd their way into the world of

beauty. If you’re looking for a fun yet wearable way to express your inner lioness, you can create an animal print design yourself with a nude or gold polish; black, white and cream nail art pens and a steady hand. For those who prefer an easier alternative, apply nail stickers with the animal print for a quick and easy alternative.

4Darlin’ Dots Big for spring and summer, polka dots add

whimsy to any manicure or pedicure. You can go big and colorful or small and chic. This is one of the easiest nail designs for the season and all you need is a few polishes and a nail art pen.

5Ombré This colorful trend is great for day or night. The e ect

of this design creates a look where your nail goes from light to dark. This style works by painting your nail a solid shade and then sponge onto the nail each additional shade until you have a gorgeous blend of color fading from light to dark or vice versa.Splash big with fancy nails!

Oozing admiration, WWD said, “Leading the pack, deep lichen green (somewhere between army and khaki) topped the women’s list and nished third on the men’s side. While green is not exactly

a shocker of a fall color, it turned up in the more unusual hues of emerald and linden green on both lists.

Sizing up fall’s prizewinning palette, Pantone Color Institute’s executive director, Leatrice Eiseman said, ‘If you ever walked in the forest or the woods in the fall when the leaves have fallen, there is such a gorgeous mélange of color. This palette re ects those wonderful fall colors but at the same time

there are colors that bring a certain sturdiness and structure to everything.’”

Other hugh hits are Açai (a deep purple), Mykonos Blue (a shade reminiscent of the sea near the Greek island), Turbu-lence (a deep slate gray), Samba (a ery red), Carafe (a brown that falls somewhere between co ee and chocolate), Koi (a bold orange the same color as the sh), and Vivacious (think GLAMOUR pink!).

As these wonderful colors work their way down through fashion and cosmetics throughout the season, expect to see lots of exciting choices with all the vivid Pantone color o erings for 2013.

Even as we fully embraced emerald as the ’it’ color for the year, Pantone has gone further and announced a couple more as TOP faves of the season. Now it’s official: even though emerald is the color of the moment, it’s really hard not to find other favorable contenders in the mix as well.

e ree Hottest Hair Trends You’ll

Want to TryTreSemme® stylist Jeanie Syfu shares her top spring hair trends and her favorite TreSemme products to help you achieve these fashion–forward looks.Beauty Handbook: What are some of the biggest hairstyle trends for Spring?Jeanie: We are going to be seeing a lot of wearable understated hair. The Glam Grunge is a wavy natural-looking texture with no volume at the roots, vintage inspired hair with a slight bou ant, and we will also be seeing sculpted gelled looks.BH: What was your inspiration for the looks you did for the Spring 2013 fashion runways?JS: Spring hair always has a more understated, lighter approach. The trend was a mash up of bold prints and color blocking as well as some vintage inspirations, so the hair complimented these looks.

FROM THE RUNWAYAt the Rebecca Minko show, there was an 80’s infl uence, so we enhanced the models natural texture creating loose waves, center parts, and fl at ironed the roots and ends for a fresh modern twist. We fi nished the hair with TRESemmé Fresh Start dry shampoo so the hair looked as natural as possible. Tracy Reese’s Spring 2013 collection showed a mix of color blocking and bold prints with very loose, relaxed silhouettes. I created a faux undercut that had a wet and dry look. The overall style had a mix of textures and looked very edgy. Jenny Packham’s Spring line was inspired by the 60’s in Vegas so we played with 60’s and 70’s inspirations with the hair and makeup so it wasn’t too literal. I created a twisted ponytail that looked dramatic yet still young and wearable for spring.

There’s a popular saying - “a woman’s hair is her crown and glory.” So when a woman’s hair is not at its best, the aff ect it takes on her confi dence, self-esteem and happiness is devastating. One of the biggest hair issues plaguing most women today is thinning hair. One would think that thinning hair was never a woman’s problem with the amount of hair thinning products advertised towards men. This couldn’t be further from the truth. There are growing numbers of women who are dealing with thinning hair and who are searching for a product that not only works, but also works well.Getting to the Root of the ProblemIt’s completely natural that as we age, both men and women experience a degree of hair thinning. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, most people lose anywhere from 50 to 100 strands of hair each day. Even though it is a natural occurrence, there is something that can be done about it. Changes in hair volume, including thinning can happen for many reasons including; hormonal changes (pregnancy and menopause), diet, stress, and medication. For most women, this is a highly emotional aff air. Fortunately, there is something you can do for thinning hair and reduce loss of hair due to damage or trauma. Thinning in women usually means a reduction in volume as well as less physical hairs. So in addition to the lack of density, the diameter of each strand of hair also shrinks and thinner hairs tend not to grow past a certain length.

Instead of spending tons of money on color at your local salon, coloring your hair at home is an aff ordable option that won’t break the bank. For a new take on at-home color, the new Revlon® Luxurious Colorsilk Buttercream™ Permanent Cream Haircolor is a surefi re winner. With an ammonia-free formula and mess-free application, this highly nourishing cream hair color revitalizes and rejuvenat es hair while covering gray hair and depositing gorgeous color. Available in 13 beautiful shades, you can have the color of your dreams in a fl ash.

Follow these simple steps on how to best apply at-home color like Revlon® Luxurious Colorsilk Buttercream™ Permanent Cream Haircolor.

Step 1: Proper preparation is the key to salon quality results. Be sure to condition the hair a few days before dyeing. This will ensure that the color saturates the hair and doesn’t lead to further drying or breakage.

Step 2: Do an allergy test at least 48 hours before you proceed with coloring your hair. This will protect your scalp and skin from possible irritation, infl ammation and other damage if you happen to be allergic or highly sensitive to the coloring agent.

Step 3: Always apply hair color with gloves. You will avoid staining your hands and fi ngernails.

Step 4: Apply Vaseline around the hairline and neckline to avoid any possible staining or feathering of the hair color on the face and neck.

Step 5: Once you have properly applied the color according to the instructions, it is important that when it’s time to wash your hair, you use a color-safe shampoo and conditioner. These specially formulated hair care products won’t prematurely strip hair of color while infusing hair with much needed hydration and moisture.

Sprucing up your hair color is one of the quickest ways to add

style, depth and fun to your look.

With the recent launch of even more great BB Creams, you’ll no longer have to hunt around in search of that elusive product to help you smooth and correct your skin while enhancing the overall appearance and texture. BB Creams entered the US marketplace in 2011 and have steadily gained momentum as a must-have SKU in every mass market and niche beauty brand. BB Cream was originally created in the 1960’s by German dermatologist Dr. Christine Schrammek for use with her patients who had recently undergone a laser or peel procedure. “BB Creams blend skin caring properties such as skin hydration and correction, as well as makeup properties providing light coverage to hide flaws and even out skin tone,” says Jennifer Huang, Assistant Vice President, L’Oreal Paris Cosmetics. Here’s more information and some super tips for choosing BB Cream. Just like a traditional skincare product, BB Creams come in a wide variety of formulas for different skin types ranging from oil-free to sensitive.Identify your skin type first so you can choose the ideal BB Cream for your individual skincare need:.• Many BB Creams have sun protection which is an

added bonus in helping to minimize further aging, damage and irritation. Opt for the formulas with sun protection as this eliminates one extra step.

• Similar to tinted moisturizers, BB Creams come in different shades. The best way to figure out which shade is right for your skin tone is by taking your current foundation or tinted moisturizer with you when shopping for BB Cream. You can compare your

current product with the different BB Cream shades and pick the one that is the closest match.

• For added moisture and hydration, use BB Cream as a primer before you apply your favorite foundation. This is a great way to help moisturize and prep the skin for makeup.

• You should apply the BB Cream at least 15 minutes prior to sun exposure. If you plan on being out in the sun for longer periods of time, it is recommended that yoy reapply the BB Cream every two hours for consistent sun protection.

• Because BB Creams are pigmented, it is best to let the product set on the skin for a few minutes in order to avoid possibly staining or damaging your clothes.

• Be sure to highlight the importance of removing the product with makeup remover or your favorite facial cleanser at the end of the day. Unlike traditional skincare, BB Creams are pigmented and contain various beautifying agents such as; shimmer that help improve and maintain the appearance of flawless skin. Sleeping with a face full of BB Cream is not advised or suggested.

With so many new BB Creams on the market, you’ll likely have questions about the differences between one brand and another. Even though all BB Creams appear to be the same on the surface, many of them offer different benefits and incorporate different ingredients within their formulas. When it’s time to pick out your fave, you’ll need to be knowledgeable on the top brands:

BB cream stands for blemish balm, blemish base or beauty balm. BB cream is an all-in-one facial cosmetic product that replaces serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sunblock. It can be worn alone as a tinted moisturizer or used with serum or underneath foundation. BB Creams are buildable for the desired coverage.

BB Creams You’ll Love to Use

Healthy, youthful-looking skin tops the list when it comes to achieving optimum beauty. With a wide variety of skincare and makeup products to choose from, it’s easy to become confused about which product is the right one for your skincare needs.

Tips for Fun in the Sun Tips for Fun in the Sun Tips for Fun

As the summer season settles in, the need for adequate sun protection is a must. The days are longer and we

spend more and more time outdoors, so we put ourselves at risk for skin cancer and other skin related issues with increased exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays. As you prepare to hit the beaches, pools and lakes this summer, here are some easy, breezy tips and tricks to keep your skin healthy and happy while you play in the sun.

1 When perusing the aisles for your sunblock or sunscreen, opt for the product with both UVA and UVB protection. UVA rays play a large part in skin aging and wrinkling. UVB rays cause skin reddening and are responsible for sunburns.

2 It is extremely important to continuously reapply your sunblock throughout the day for optimum protection. Most sunblock requires that you reapply every 2-4 hours especially if you are swimming or spending time in the water.

3 Look for waterproof versions if you planon spending lengthy periods of time in or near the water.

4 Be sure to apply your sunscreen or sunblock from head to toe. Don’t skip your back, feet or hands. Any area of your body that is exposed to the sun needs to be slathered in sunblock.

5 Sunblock and sunscreen comes in diff erent levels of protection. In order to fi gure out the right level for you, fi rst determine what your personal sun care needs are. If you burn very easily you should choose a sunblock with an SPF 45 or 50. If you tan easily but want to still maintain healthy protected skin, choose a product with an SPF 25 – 30.

6 Keep your sun protection separate for your face and body. Choose sunblock or sunscreen that is specially formulated for the face as these products will be less apt to clog pores or cause breakouts and are more lightweight.

7 Invest in a good aftercare product for skin that has recently been exposed to long amounts of sun. Seek an all-natural aloe based gel or cream which helps cool and calm irritation and infl ammation from too much sun exposure.

Reinventing Beauty: What steps should one take when approaching their skin care needs for the spring?

Dr. Josh Zeichner: Your basic regimen should include a gentle skin cleanser and a moisturizer with sunscreen. On top of that you can adjust and add products depending on your skin type. If you are very oily you can add a toner. If you have dull skin, exfoliate with a product containing glycolic acid. Aging skin can use help from topical retinol at night.

RB: What are some of the changes in the skin that occur during the spring season?

DZ: You need to transition your skin care routine to adjust to the change in seasons. While the winter is cold and dry, the spring brings more humidity into the air and warmer temperatures. While UV rays can aff ect the skin year round, they become stronger in the spring, peaking in the summer. Plus days are longer in the spring than the winter, so there are more hours in the day to be exposed to UV light. In the spring, a strong attention needs to be paid to sun protection. When moisturizing, you may not need to use a product as heavy as you use in the winter time.

RB: If you su er from extremely dry skin, what are some great spring skincare tips?

DZ: Use a soap free gentle cleanser. They clean the skin eff ectively without irritating or over drying. They can also hydrate at the same time. Choose a light facial moisturizer that has sunscreen in it, so you do not need to use more than one product. Don’t forget to cover areas like the ears, backs of the hands, and neck / upper chest. You can use your facial moisturizer in those areas. Pat dry, rather than rub with a towel after the shower. Moisturize the body within 5 minutes of getting out of the shower to lock in moisture.

RB: If you su er from oily skin, what are some great spring skincare tips?

DZ: Oily skin is a challenge during warmer weather because sweating can make your face feel even greasier. Choose an oil free moisturizer with sunscreen. Some products can actually make you look less shiny containing mattifying ingredients that help absorb oil and refl ect light. Use a foaming cleanser, which can remove more oil than gentle, hydrating cleansers. If you are extremely oily, you can try blotting papers during the day or toners. Choose a gentle, alcohol free toner and start using it every other day. Over drying or removing too much oil from the skin can lead to irritation.

RB: If you su er from sensitive skin, what are some great skincare tips?DZ: Use a gentle, hydrating skin cleaners. Avoid harsh soaps and fragranced products. Stick to fragrance-free detergents. If you cannot tolerate sunscreen, choose one that is made for sensitive skin. They usually contain only physical blockers like zinc and titanium which do not cause skin allergies.

RB: What are your must-have spring products?

DZ: I love these:1. A good oil free sunscreen. 2. A gentle skin cleanser. 3. A primer to give added help in reducing shine. 4. Lip balm with sunscreen. 5. A night time retinol product to help stimulate

collagen. (Wear sunscreen with it because it can make you sun sensitive)

6. An antioxidant in the morning to help prevent infl ammation in the skin.

Springtime Guide to Healthy SkinWhen the seasons change, so should your skincare routine. As weather conditions change from cold and dry to warm and humid, your skin fl uctuates. From the cleanser you use to your heightened need for sun protection, it is highly benefi cial to take a close look at the types of products that you are using as you transition from winter to spring. With the help of Dr. Josh Zeichner, a board-certifi ed dermatologist who practices in New York City, you’ll discover everything you’ll need to get your skin ready for spring.

It is one of the strongest predictors of health risks (heart disease, diabetes, and more bad stuff ) associated with obesity.Ditch the scale in favor of the tape measure.Measure your waist and aim small: Ideal is 32 1/2 inches or less for women and 35 inches or less for men.Stay Satisfi edTo lose weight, you need to eat.Eat often – fi ve or six times throughout the day – so you’re always satisfi ed. Slipping into starvation mode makes your body want to store fat.Eat plenty of fi ber and some protein in the morning: Fiber in the morning helps control afternoon cravings; protein decreases appetite.Add SupportEnlist a friend, family member, or new online buddy as your partner. Everyone needs encouragement – and an occasional prod. After fi nishing your 30-minute walk every day, call a buddy or post something online for a pat on the back.

When you start the 20-minute workout, do the same thing. It’s Okay to Make MistakesAs long as you quickly get back on the right road, you won’t travel too far down the wrong one. Just make a YOU-turn to change course. (Here’s how.)A Few Final TipsCheck food labels. Don’t buy anything with more than 4 grams of saturated fat or 4 grams of any sugar (especially high-fructose corn syrup) per serving. Sat fat is an ager that’s bad for your whole body, and simple sugars make you crave high-calorie foods.Get 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night. Fatigue also makes you crave sugary foods. Why? They release the brain chemicals that a lack of sleep leaves you short on.Eat a little healthy fat – like a handful of walnuts – about 20 minutes before a meal. It will take the edge off , so you won’t be tempted to overeat.Choose elegance over force. Weight-loss battles are won when you diet smart, not hard. From YOU: On a Diet, by RealAge experts Michael F. With countless diets, weight loss supplements and workout regimens bombarding your television, magazines and radio, the idea of choosing an eff ective program that works and is fun can be quite a daunting challenge. Thankfully, the dance fi tness trend that has dominated the fi tness industry is sure to keep you on your toes while whittling away your waistline. One of the most popular dance fi tness brands is Zumba® Fitness. Known as the fastest growing workout program in the world, Zumba® Fitness has taken on a global fascination that continues to grow. A combination of dance, aerobics, and cardio, the high-intensity calorie and fat-burning routines get you moving in a way you never thought imaginable. Created in 2001, the Zumba® Fitness brand is enjoyed by millions in over 140,000 locations in over 150 countries. What makes Zumba® Fitness so addictive is its powerful use of exhilarating music with choreographed moves that will get and keep your body moving while you burn fat and tighten and tone. “Zumba® Fitness was created from the love of dance – one of the oldest and most adored forms of self-expression. Millions of people have joined the Zumba® Fitness party because it gives them an

outlet to do what they love, while they are getting their body in great shape,” explains Allison Robins, Director of Public Relations for Zumba® Fitness. With dance moves inspired by several diff erent countries, this exciting program can help you burn up to 1,000 calories in a one-hour class. For those seeking the Zumba® Fitness experience but do not have the time or money to enroll in a class, have no fear, there are Zumba® Fitness DVDs which are equally popular and a highly eff ective way of maintaining your fi tness levels and weight loss goals all year long. Another really compelling aspect to the Zumba Fitness craze is the opportunity to elevate from participant to certifi ed instructor. “Anyone interested in becoming a licensed Zumba Instructor must attend a Zumba Instructor Training course. The training course teaches you the foundation and formula to teach a Zumba class. You will learn the steps to four basic rhythms (merengue, salsa, cumbia, reggaeton) and will learn how to put these steps together into a song to create your fi rst Zumba class,” explains Allison.

To locate a class near you or to order DVDs please visit www.zumba.com.

At the 2012 American Music Awards, P!nk took a bold risk and went against her signature strong look in favor of something soft and feminine. CoverGirl and celebrity makeup artist Kathy Jeung used the singer’s gorgeous bronze leather and chiff on dress as inspiration for her take on a modern romantic beauty look. First, she applied liquid foundation with a brush for even coverage. She blended the foundation into the skin with a moistened sponge for a seamless eff ect. Next she set the foundation with a light dusting of CoverGirl Professional Loose Powder. She specifi cally focused on the t-zone in order to minimize shine. For touch-ups throughout the night, she used CoverGirl Clean Oil Control Pressed Powder. To add a pop of color, Jeung applied CG Classic Color Blush in Natural Glow, a warm peach shade, to the apples of the cheek. To add some warmth and defi nition, she applied CG Cheekers Bronzer in Golden Tan, a shimmery bronzer, to the upper cheekbones and the outer temples. Since P!nk’s signature smoky eyes are usually the focal point of her look, Jeung focused her attention on creating a soft yet impactful eye look that beautifully incorporated the earthy bronze tones in her gorgeous dress. After lightly defi ning the brows with a few soft strokes of CG Brow & EyeMakers Pencil in Soft Blonde and CG Professional Natural Lash Clear Mascara, she applied CG Eye Enhancers in Champagne all over the lid and underneath the brow bone. To add some depth, she applied CG Eye Enhancers in Mink a bronzey shade, to the crease of the eye. For further defi nition, she added CG Enhancers in Taupe Tapestry along the outer eye area. In order to increase the drama, Jeung created a cat eye eff ect by lining P!nk’s upper lash line with CG Liquilineblast Eyeliner in Black Fire. She elongated P!nk’s lashes with CG Clump Crusher by LashBlast Mascara in Very Black. To fi nish the look, Jeung went soft and sleek with CG LipPerfection Lip Liner in Smoky and CG Outlast All-Day Lipcolor in Faint Hue. She added a few coats of clear gloss for high wattage shine.

P!NK is the perfect example of a modern woman on a mission. The multi-platinum

selling artist, wife, mother, entertainer and CoverGirl® is well on her way to having it all. With the release of her latest album “The Truth About Love”, P!nk has once again captured the essence of relationships, dating and love in the only way she knows how – with brutal honesty. As expected every song on the album plays like an emotionally driven entry from the superstar's personal journal. P!nk pulls no punches as she delves into issues such as; breakups, abusive relationships and broken promises. Fans will get their chance to see P!nk perform her newest singles along with her numerous chart-topping hits during her “Truth About Love” world tour which recently kicked off in February in Phoenix, Arizona. The tour takes her throughout the US and overseas to Ireland and the UK, wrapping up in April in France. In recent years, P!nk has become equally known for her stage performances as she is for her music. One of the reasons is because of her foray into the world of aerial and trapeze artistry. She incorporates highly acrobatic and theatrical choreography into her stage show, dazzling audiences with her high fl ying routines which beautifully accompany her emotionally soaring singles. Even though it seems as though P!nk has always enjoyed major success in her life, it couldn’t be further from the truth. Before she became P!nk, the superstar, Alecia Moore, the aspiring artist, dealt with various obstacles, challenges and set-backs that could have easily taken her off track. From dealing with her parents’ divorce to struggling to fi nd her musical identity after the release of her fi rst album, P!nk has weathered many a storm.Six albums later, not only has P!nk realized her dreams of stardom and fame, she has also become an inspiration to millions of her adoring fans. Because of her courage to face the often diffi cult aspects of life head-on, P!nk has made her penchant for presenting a transparent and raw viewpoint on all aspects of daily life something to be admired. Her fearless persona and unapologetic outlook on the world is what inspired CoverGirl to sign the international pop star to a cosmetics contract. She is the face of today’s strong, independent woman who desires to showcase her authentic version of beauty. Whether she’s posing for a photo shoot or rehearsing for a world tour, P!nk is a woman in control of her life, her music and her world. P!nk is the new powerful.
