22nd Annual
Awards
Heart of
Marin
JANUARY 8, 2015
WeLCOMe
Our 22nd Annual Heart of Marin Awards is where volunteers, nonprofits and leaders shine.
CVNL and presenting sponsor Union Bank are thrilled you are here with
us to experience this celebration honoring Marin nonprofits and volunteers.
We’re here to recognize all nominees and present awards to the 2014
Heart of Marin recipients. Our panels convened to evaluate 128 exceptional
nominations.
We appreciate you and your passion. You help lift our most vulnerable
populations, endangered lands, and cultural institutions. We are deeply grateful
for your extraordinary dedication and the vital work you do. Together we can
create healthier, happier communities.
– Rev. Carol Hovis, Board Chair, CVNL
– Linda Davis, CEO, CVNL
Michael Pritchard, emcee.
Michael Pritchard is a nationally acclaimed
keynote speaker praised by the Wall Street
Journal, CNN and Time for his ability to use
humor to inspire and educate his audiences
on communication skills. Michael is a big
guy with a warm heart who, as one student
described him, “truly walks as he talks.” He
began his career on both the comedy stage
and as a juvenile counselor in San Francisco’s
Youth Guidance Center. In 1980, Michael
Pritchard won first place in the San Francisco
International Stand Up Comedy Competition
as well as winning the prestigious California
Probation Officer of the Year.
