Zurich Global Corporate UK, August 2016- PresentI have been working on the Underwriting Support team for PA Travel, as well as covering Casualty. Cover all admin functions pre-bind, such as pipeline, submissions, endorsements, bounds, and tax schedules, working on software such as RCT, Corus, MIA, eFile and BI Launch Pad.Complete price rating tools such as MangoZ, LRAT, and LPTE for both PA Travel and Casualty.Issue travel certificates and renewal letters to clients.Run reports and checks to back up Underwriters work to ensure balance. Including Data Quality, Contract Certainty, Peer Reviews, etc. Participate in team meetings for PA Travel and Underwriting Support.
Atrium Insurance Group (2015), Underwriting
First 2 days were in the backroom learning how the delegated underwriting support functions from day to day, learning about the new software they had begun to operate with. Analysing information and writing a report regarding the data.
The final 3 days were on the Lloyds insurance floor shadowing underwriters. Spent time with the Aviation & Aviation War, Marine, International Professional, Non Marine, Accident & Health, and Cargo, Fine Art & Specie. Here I watched the underwriters interact with brokers, check the possible threat to what they were insuring, and calculating a percentage they could insure as Atrium wasn't the largest firm.Finally the week came to a close as I sat down with the CEO of Atrium to interact on a more personal level.
