National Gymnastics Arena – Baku – Azerbaijan ( designed and completed – Broadway Malyan )

Lead Sports Design Architect / Team Leader / Multi Design Studio Coordination - Primarily designed as a dedicated World Standard Gymnastics facility, incorporating an Arena and Training Facilities for the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, the facilities were further developed to accommodate multi-function requirements for sport, concert use and exhibitions and trade shows etc. Host venue for World Championship and Olympic Games Events.

Awarded best European Stadium (under 30,000 capacity). 140 room 4* plus hotel – integrated into stadium facilities with shared spaces and 4 story atrium incorporating original external wall of stadium.

£ 100k Hunters Hill Technology College: Review of existing school facilities and development of a master plan to rationalize school activities over a long-term strategy for the schools development.

£ 8.5m Primary School Extensions and Alterations for Wolverhampton City Council: Work to 3 schools in to provide refurbishment and extensions to schools to extend and enhance teaching facilities

£ 3.5m Science Park Expansion to create new reception / hub facilities with office space, specialist workshop facilities and IT suite to complement the existing phase 1 development.

HEALTHCARE PROJECTS :

£ 3.5m Specialist Dementia Unit: Specialist dementia unit for 40 residents with communal areas set in clusters of ten around four landscaped courtyards. BREEAM ‘very good’ rating.

£ 6.5m Psycho-Geriatric Hospital for Sandwell PCT, Specialist Hospital for 96 Bed residential care and treatment of patients and the provision of day care facilities.

RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS :

£ 20m Birmingham PPP: Meadway and Turves Green each provide 87 one and two bed apartments with associated communal facilities. MMC Lightweight steel frame construction.

£ 40m Walsall PPP: Six schemes for residential and day care services including over 285 units of extra-care accommodation and a specialist dementia unit for 40 residents. All the schemes utilize off site manufacture (MMC) with lightweight steel frame construction and achieve a ‘very good’ BREEAM rating.

£ 20m Sandwell PPP: Redevelopment of two sites, each to provide 87 one and two bed units in two blocks with communal facilities, lounges, restaurant, training kitchen, well being suite, shop and hair salon, utilizing traditional and timber frame construction.

£ 100m Oldham PFI : Consisting of three new build schemes, 19 remodelling / refurbishment schemes, providing a range of Extra Care and Sheltered accommodation with communal facilities. £ 12.5m Tandle View Court The flagship Oldham PFI scheme, 59 one and two bed apartments with extensive extra care communal facilities set around two courtyards, was short-listed for a Local Authority Building Control Quality Award.

Various Barn and Church Conversions to Dwellings – individual and barn cluster developments and conversion of former chapel with extensions to form character residential dwellings.
